[Case Study] Ranking Dozens of Keywords with Fiverr - 2012 Panda/Penguin Edition

This is my first case-study that I am doing publicly, hope it turns out to be useful (it will ;) )
What's good after Panda/Penguin, and what's not?

I decided to make 1 big blog with all well-researched Keywords (easy-to-rank), I did, but then I chagned my mind about SEO and decided to try out Fiverr gigs, which work best, which don't.

- Every Keyword has approx 1000+ Searches with $1+ CPC (some have under 1000, but worth doing)
- On-Page SEO is "OK" , I did not want to make it perfect
- KW Density is around 2%-3%
- All Keywords are researched by me, and easy-to-rank
- Articles do not have images in them
- All Articles are unique - 400 words - ordered from BHW Member
- I do NOT own any of the mentioned Fiverr gigs, and I am NOT affiliated with any of the mentioned Fiverr gigs.
- I use SerpBuddy to track the rankings

I have researched around 50 keywords which are easy-to-rank, and I have ordered articles for each, and I plan to make 1 big website (using Wordpress).

I have a lot more articles, so if you want me to test out a certain FIVERR GIG, Please post the Fiverr Gig (Note: To avoid people putting their own gigs, the gig must have at least 20 sales) - Not All will be chosen.


I just posted these articles on my website today, so all of them are not yet in any position in Google (NOT Ranking)

I will update the SERPs when required.

Cool Luka. I think someone else has a similar thread, but I can't remember the name. The whole deal started pre-Penguin and continued through both Penguin updates with improved rankings IIRC. Good stuff tho.

Anyway the thing with ranking after penguin is to not over optimize. Not on page and not in your backlinking. I was punished hard because I was over optimizing every site I had. My keyword density was way to high on page and in my backlinks I probably had 90% of the backlinks with my keyword as anchor. So you have to make it look more natural like:
- 30 % backlink with your keyword: example: "Green Tits"
- 30 % backlink with your keyword in the phrase: "These tits are green"
- 30 % backlink with your website: "greentits.com"
- 10% Random: "click here"

So you have to somehow require these fiverr providers to do this in their backlinking.
 
you need to be a lot more careful in your link building process, here's what working right now: - Brand Anchor Text: Use your domain name in the majority of your anchor text and combine it with your keyword: domainname.com domain name http://domainname.com/ domain name + keyword1 domain name + keyword2 main keyword LSI keyword etc Google are into anchor text over optimization right now, so make sure to not use your main keyword more than 20-30% of your total anchor text. - Authority Web Properties Does Rank Very Well http://fiverr.com/

Well said and that is what I am doing, I am not giving them just 1 keyword, I am giving them more keywords, for example if my keyword was "heavy doors" , my keywords would be like

heavy doors

read more
best heavy doors for security in my apartment

That is just an example, but I didn't always use "Source" and "Read more" , I use different ones and I also used the naked url itself.

Might it be too much to list the search results? allinurl, allintitle? May make a difference in search comp...

Very interesting result for fiverr gig. Is this result sustainable for 3-6 month?
 
Not gonna miss this but i have a noob question mate you will order them only once right or many times ??
 
There are some quality gigs actually. I've never tried something similar but I'm definitely interested because it means cheaper backlinking costs :P

Hey,
I ordered each gig once, but honestly I DO NOT except to rank #1, but I at least except top 10, if I do rank top 10 then it's good, and worth buying another time or even third time, it's $5 per gig so if it brings me top 10 with only 1 purchase it's quite good.

Before I managed to rank with Fiverr gigs alone (top 10, without an issue), but let's see how it goes after the latest updates.

So do you only send the seller 5 keywords to target including generic ones? Or how many exactly? Thanks!
