I have this client that is at the top of page 2, bottom of page 1 for a certain keyword. As many probably know, I'm a huge fan of private blog networks and there is a lot of commotion around that at the moment.

So what I did to move this keyword:

    - 200 High PR society posts
    - 150 ALN posts
    - 100 ArticleRanks posts
    - 100 Unique Article Wizard posts
    - 100 My Article Network posts
    - 100 Web2.0 properties (around 40 unique platforms)
    - 200 Edu blogcomments
    - 500 Social bookmarks

The above includes a few Fiverr gigs which are in progress now. So far the 200 HighPRSociety posts, the 100 web2.0's and half of the ALN, UAW, MAN, AR posts are completed.

The linkbuilding started 1.5 week ago, a few days ago the keyword moved up to the middle of page 1, today it dropped back to top of page 2 again.

Leaves me to say that I'm pretty dissapointed about the results so far. I've ranked innerpages of my own site in a similiar way that moved from nowhere to middle page 1 within a week. Are the blog networks really doomed or is the site just dancing. The upcoming weeks will provide the answer.

I think it's all good, considering it's been only a week and a half. I like your diversified link building strategy :) It's concrete solid, even if a whole blog network gets de-indexed you are still safe

    Update:

I'm targetting 2 pages and 4 keywords for my client. 1 page is the rootdomain that ranks in Google Places and shows up at #2 in the Places listing. Not sure if that is a result from my linkbuilding but when he showed up in Google Places for the first time he was ranking at #6 in the Places listing, then did some dancing and now he is steady at #2 for around a week.

The 2nd page that I target is an innerpage, in my original post I mentioned he showed up at the top of page 2 but today he jumped back to the middle of page 1 again, it's dancing pretty wildly so I hope to report more stabilized rankings soon.

    ==========================================================

Case study inside case study, I am working on a site of another client of mine as well for a medium competitive search term, well actually 2 keywords. This linkbuilding started around 3 weeks ago. Before he wasn't ranking for keyword 1 and he was ranking somewhere at page 9 for keyword 2. His rankings right now are:

    keyword1: 46
    keyword2: 17

This other client ordered a package of:

    200 high pr society posts
    100 web2.0's
    50 aln posts
    50 article ranks posts
    50 my article network posts
    50 unique article wizard posts

So I am pretty proud of the results that I achieved for him so far for $60,-

I'm even more happy suprised that this go's against all recent posts that blog networks hurt your site cause I haven't seen any evidence of this on any of the sites I've been working on so far or that I worked on in the past.

How do you create the Web 2.0s? Do you create them yourself or outsource them?

    Thanks and best of luck!

so on the 100 web 2.0's did you have them point to the articles you placed in article dir's?
Is UAW passing any Juice anymore?

No all the links point to the website. No tier2 linking.

I don't know and don't care if UAW passes any juice.

When I try to rank site there is 1 thing that is most important to me: "Huge IP diversity" and the best way to achieve that is too use as many blog networks and other types of backlinks. Some people pray by 10.000's links from maybe 100 different web2.0's, imo that's only 100 different IP's. I rather try to get links from a 1000 different IP's, and when I have to use multiple blog networks for that then thats what I do.

Another thing that I do (cause I read it somewhere, haven't been able to prove it but seems somewhat logical) is as each article can contain 2 links, is point the 2 links to 2 different url's of the site that I try to rank. (using different anchor txts)

    UPDATE

Who said private blog networks are dead and harm your site???? :D

    Current rankings:

    kw1: #2
    kw2: #3
kw3: #1 for Google Places listing
kw4: #2 for Google Places listing

The client ordered a $100 package with me and about 1/3rd of the links are still dripfeeding.

I call this a huge success and the client placed more orders at me and I'm sure he will recommend me even more to his associates/clients :D

I will keep making updates over the next weeks to show that the rankings stick!

All this negativity about private blog networks stressed me out pretty much but again it worked as a charm!

Awesome! IP diversity is boss. Are you using Web 2.0 properties that users at this forum have posted or do you have your own list?

Lol, everyone now instantly knows who I am on Fiverr, not that it matters, maybe you like my gigs as well :D

This is the guy I use, you should expect about 40 unique web2.0's + 10 duplicates, mostly he overdelivers.

The case study inside the case study saw a new huge jump in serps this week.

    KW1: #7
    KW2: #18

And for 5 other keywords that we didn't specifically targetted but that are very close related (think about words with the s added or without the s like chair vs chairs etc) we rank #37 #6 #12 #11 #20

Yeah blog networks are really dead, RIP :D :D :D

For the original case study the rankings haven't moved, still shows as #1 #2 #2 and #3. We are now targetting more heavy keywords for this site, instead of 3 word phrase we went back to the main profession of 2 words without the City/District name where we now rank at #23, let's see what the next weeks will bring.
