@tungtrinh.tee , Ahrefs shows 0 traffic maybe because he relies on paid traffic instead of SEO.

Also, I am not sure if Ahrefs provides traffic estimates from FB paid.

@diamondhands Only a few questions below :p

Shipping

Do you see any shipping delays or any other challenges due to Covid.

Do you see drop in conversions due to shipping? Or have you done any analysis?

Also, with and without Covid, what's the best and worst shipping times have you seen?

To start with, you recommend using AliExpress especially for those who are new to the game,
(you can consider me to be one of them although I have a decent understanding of dropshipping), so what's the average shipping duration to tier-1 English speaking countries like US, UK, AUS and CA? I believe this will depend on seller to seller but any rough estimate?

Also wouldn't the product costs increase considerably if we want to improve shipping time? (FedEx, DHL etc.)

Probably, choosing products/niche where people don't mind waiting for it would be preferred..

What about shipping duration for some countries in Europe (especially East European like yours), or South American or South Asian especially where competition could be low but demand could high?

Choosing a Supplier - Product Quality and Returns
How do you handle returns (primarily by trying to ensure the quality is good so that the returns rate stays low and secondarily, as a service)?

Would returning a product be a hassle for the customers in the age of Amazon convenience)?

Probably your process of choosing the right supplier could help solve my question
.

Competition

Do you also teach how to compete or avoid competing with Amazon, Ebay or any other marketplace for price and shipping?

Unless it is the heat of the moment audience that would buy from us, users might also look at some trustworthy option to buy the same product from instead of someone unknown..

If the products are kind of unique and are not widely available on Amazon then that's a different story.

I am not saying that people won't buy. You showed us your video so yes they do, I am coming more from improving conversion rates standpoint and scalability aspect.

My core skill is SEO strategy, analysis and marketing psychology. I work as a senior manager for a digital marketing agency and handle around 16 clients with 25 team members.

Most of the clients are big names in their respective industries (also complex industries with complex audiences) across all three verticals eCom, b2b and b2c.

I feel you did a great job with the sales page and it did make me feel that you know your subject. You built that trust but kind of overdoing it in comments by always trying to explain your genuineness..

Your frequent requests for asking you questions led me to ask these otherwise I normally don't. So this worked too..

If I think of
more details, I might have a few more.

I hope the answers to my questions would also helps others get some more practical information on these common hurdles. These may also help you get more sales as people night feel more confident in this business model.. ;)

Without feelings there is no action..

Thanks,
Prithvi

Great questions! Hopefully, it's ok if I added numbers to your questions, so it's going to be easier to reference them back.

1. Yes, especially when shipping from China. A lot has changed from when this thing started, as a lot of shipping options that we've chosen before, like ePacket, AE Standard Shipping, and others, are now either not available at all (i.e. with ePacket), or they are slow. The way to go now (if you're using AliExpress) is to choose "AliExpress Standard Shipping", as it'll take about 1 month to deliver (if we take China -> US) but it's cheap. Nonetheless, you're using AliExpress just for testing the product, your store, your ads. AliExpress works fine for small amounts of orders. It doesn't work if you're already scaling, or about to do so. That's why agents now accept quite a small amount of orders to get started (as little as 20/day).

2. Haven't done an analysis in terms of some specific numbers, but yes, it depends on the sales. You will get more sales when you offer 7-day shipping instead of ~28 days, but... But as a matter of fact, I know that one of the biggest and most successful dropshipping brands out there is still shipping from China -> Worldwide and offer 3-6 weeks (!) shipping times. Why? Because it doesn't matter too much, but people tend to always procrastinate and believe that shipping Is where my business going to break. I had stores that offer 4 weeks shipping, and stores, that offered 3 days shipping. While conversion rates are higher for faster shipping (+ I additionally advertised it as a fast-shipping-store), the overall thing is that you're going to get sales no matter shipping. Shipping is not a breaking-point.

3. 6-weeks from China -> Canada, since Canada is always fun with their local posts (it's not even the delivery from China -> Canada, but it has something to do with their local post office).

4. This really depends on the weight of the product as well, but if you choose "AE Standard Shipping" the item might take 2-3 weeks to be delivered. At least this is what I see with my products when testing (talking about 8-10 suppliers that I'm working with).

5. If you choose these top carriers - yes, your product price would go up, but if you want to, you can always have some more options for your customers in terms of shipping/delivery times. If your supplier offers DHL for example, you can add "Expedited Shipping" with some bigger price so it could cover the cost. Nonetheless, again, the price of (let us say) DHL will depend on your product weight, so the best way to know is to just check every product shipping costs to "x" country.

6. Sorry... It depends... Let's say to Easter European countries, it might take 18-29 days (with "AE Standard Shipping") with like 3-5 euro shipping cost, or it could take even more time with a cheaper shipping carrier. Nonetheless, I've never targeted Eastern European countries or lower-tiered countries, especially Asia. You will not only going to see massive delivery times from AliExpress but also you will get more chargebacks. It's sad but it's true. Totally different thing if we talk about sourcing agents. If you have a specific country in mind, you can go ahead and check with them how are the shipping times/costs. They can be quite fast but you need to do some digging. I.e. Poland (as a country) has great sources for cheap products to source directly from there, but you would need to find folks who know Polish and can advise you on things.

7. Quite easily - my VAs provide the best support ever so we try to find the best possible final result with the customer. You may offer a discount for someone, who wants to return, you may offer another item to be shipped, or you could accept the return altogether (to your home office or other places). Also, if we would accept the return and the customer pays for shipping, we say that we will inspect the product and will get back to them as soon as possible. Believe me or not, the vast majority of people will be happy to take a 60% refund of the price (which still covers your cost to supplier, and in some times - you ad costs as well).

8. Yes, it would be, if you don't have your own offices in the US or something like that. But, again, I wouldn't worry too much about that. You just need to find other ways on how to provide the best possible customer service. And if you like what you're doing and see good returns - you may increase them even more with your own fulfillment, return centers, etc. This truly depends on your part.

9. I don't believe in competition with these ones. Never did and never will. We are on the whole another market who serve/get customers via social media (or other sales channel) rather than marketplaces.

10. It's true and that's fine. There are an enormous amount of customers out there for your store, just don't be that dropshipper who talks with their customers like they're your friends at the bar. I learned that this last piece of a puzzle is really important long-term.

11. Yup, that's true, but 80%+ of the time Amazon will have it.

12. If you really into a numbers game, I would say that you may find it useful when talking about dropshipping, since it's really important to set the right margins before ad spend, which can take more or less if we are talking about Facebook ADs in particular.

Hope I answered your questions!

Please take a look at BST FAQ section where I mentioned why I stopped running this store. This has nothing to do with the pump-and-dump type of mentality. I provide the process I'm taking with my own stores.

You are providing a list of agents/suppliers that you use. If a lot of people start using the same suppliers won't that get them saturated?
And if they went out of business, will our business stop aswell? Do you have to relay on these?

Which brings me to to...

Do you explain how to find our own suppliers and build partnerships with them?

Thanks

@The Tom, "The agents" are people/companies, individuals, from whom you can buy/source products. In other words, they act as an AliExpress in some basic terms. They have access to products from 1688.com, etc. where everything is 10x cheaper than on AliExpress.
Others though have their own warehouses in the biggest countries, like the US, etc. They can offer faster shipping, but, of course, for the price tag. Nonetheless, if you buy in bulk (via invoice, Shopify app, etc.) you can expect faster shipping, cheaper product prices, as well as better communication (not like from AliExpress with broken google translate).

For example, I got lucky with one of my products. I was selling it from AliExpress supplier, I reached like 40 orders per day and decided to contact them for some lower price or whatever. They replied back by saying that they can source this product for me if I won't do it on AliExpress rather - pay by invoice, send them the Shopify "Orders" info, and they will deliver it within 7 days (to the US, specifically). This just shows that you have to contact folks on AliExpress directly, though, again, there're agents who can do this for you.

@PBNSurprise, I really think that you are just a troll feeding yourself in the evenings... How agents can get saturated? Agents are not selling products. You sell products. You just ask them whether they have this "x" product, and if they do - you sell it. They can indeed get you any product you want, from AE, from 1688, from whatever. They make money from margins since you will be selling lots of products.

Furthermore, again, I'm not promoting my product here that got to be the winner. I already commented a ton of times here that I'm selling my process, not something else. You can indeed find a lot of that info online, no doubt about it. You can find a lot of articles on how to start your own business, run your affiliate offers, run dropshipping store, or how to find a girlfriend. I'm selling my process and what works for me.

Another thing: [...]and OP refuses to refute any of these claims. [...] What I'm refusing to do here, exactly? I don't get it.

Final remarks - I'm not scamming anyone here. I'm providing what I know and giving a price for it. I don't have anything to hide, and I'm not feel bad that I'm in the "info-products" or "courses" space. I don't see this BST being anything different from others who're selling courses, PBN's, copywriting services, etc. I believe that I mentioned all of this in my BST already.

Since I got some really specific questions in my DM and in the comments here...

Here are upcoming content updates (should be released by 10 of March):

✅ Add more videos for the "Facebook Ads" part so it's even easier to follow along
✅ For members only, I'm going to release our custom Shopify Theme (development in progress)
