I'm getting back into my SEO game heavily, and the first thing I need to do is figure out how to make successful "suicide runs". I'm talking about making an article, blasting the fuck out of it and getting it to rank for a week or two. I'm fairly positive this still works (was DEAD simple back in Dec), as the "viral component" of Google is still there I'm sure.
I haven't quite figured out what I'm going to do exactly yet, but I'll be trying 3-6 different web 2.0 properties, each using different sorts of link sources, some auto approves, some web 2.0s, ETC. I used to be able to AA blast a article with relevant and diversified keywords, get ranked top 10 in a few days. I'm looking to see if that's still true, and if not then what does work. I'll be updating later today, this is my designated day to do this, as I have to deal with obtaining clients all day tomorrow.
I'd appreciate any wisdom from anyone else who has use for these sort of properties/rankings.
