    Hey guys,

I am performing this case study on a brand new site which was registered 3 days ago; I will not disclose the URL nor the keywords, so please refrain from asking. I will outline the EXACT Fiverr gigs I used, as well as the timeframe for everything; hopefully this results in a somewhat step-by-step guide to ranking; and the costs associated from start to finish.

    Keyword Selection:
This was based on finding an EMD domain, that had above 1,000 searches a month and a high CPC (IMeye said $150 which is ridiculous, however Adwords Keyword Tool says around $2.60, which is fine). I registered an EMD.org; the keyword receives 1,300 searches a month, two competing niche sites appear on Google with less than 200 backlinks and PR0 - it shouldn't be too tough a niche to rank for.

However, the keyword I will try to target receives around 18,000 exact searches a month, CPC above $2 again; top site has a PR2 and 5,000+ backlinks; however there is a yahoo answers indexed on the first page and a few forums - hopefully I will be able to hit the front page.

What I Have Done So Far:
    - Registered my EMD.org
    - Set up a basic wordpress site, simple theme, no ads of any sort added yet, simply links to my posts in the siderbar widget.
    - Added 3, 500+ word articles (1 each day); paid my writer $3.50 for each.
    - Submitted each post to Digg, Stumbleupon and Delicious, also pinged using ping-o-matic.
    - Create a Google +1 page, and submitted to Technorati.

I will add two more articles over the next two days, I am waiting for it to be indexed by Google before I begin my first purchases of Fiverr gigs.

I've tried this as well and got many of my sites ranked just from fiverr alone. Start off with social bookmarking gigs.

Forgot to mention a couple of things.

    On-Site SEO
I have bolded and underlined keywords I am trying to rank for throughout the articles, also placing one hyper-link for the main keyword back to the home page.

Articles are 500 words each, around 1-2% keyword density each; helpful to the user and are non promotional - aka, quality content

    Budget:
This isn't set quite yet, however I am aiming to spend no more than $60 on the site in Fiverr gigs, this will allow room for 12 gigs. This may however change if I opt to target different keywords, or I see good results.

    Plan Of Action:

I have a basic plan of action set out for the Fiverr gigs:

    1) Social bookmarking
    2) RSS Feed Submission
    3) .edu and .gov backlinks
    4) Squidoo page creation
    5) Article directories
    6) Blog networks

And whatever else catches my eye.

Having a little trouble getting the site indexed, I've had 4 unique articles, 500 words each, posted over the last 4 days; pinged it, dugg, stumbleupon and delicious each post. It's being spidered however, so hopefully it appears soon so I can started buying some Fiverr gigs.

In the meantime I've purchased a gig for a (almost) two year old site; has 22 unique articles (hasn't been updated in a little while) and I believe it was recently hit with a competitors scrapebox or xrumer blast, as it has numerous porn links linking to it.

    This is the gig:
    http://fiverr.com/vapsjee/write-an-...000-article-directories-for-quality-backlinks

Delivery time says 13 days, hopefully it's quicker than that; however they are articles so it will take a week or two to show results.

    Keyword 1 - #5 (EMD.com) - 1,300 exact searches
    Keyword 2 - #15 - 1,000 exact searches

It's a pretty nice buying/information keyword; which made a little over $80 in the space of 7-8 months in 2010-2011; not much, but something.

Competition according to Traffic Travis is relatively easy for both keywords, however I am up against some big companies providing the product (PR2-3 pages); as well as amazon and eBay which can be tricky to up.

Hopefully I see some good results, will report back.

This could be interesting. I know that serveral members here have ranked their sites from good fiverr gigs for only $5 and they have saved a lot of money. Maybe this could open up the eyes for the members that are new in this area here!

I'd be happy to, however he's only able to do 8 a week, which is a real shame - try Odesk, that's where I found him; ask for samples and sought through the bullshit on that site though (you can generally pick it in there application). Pick based on a quality, not just price.
I definitely have that in mind.

    Update:
And we are indexed! :) - Home page and one blog post has been indexed thus far; I will hopefully have another article written by tomorrow to complete the content side for now of 5, 500 word articles.

I had originally planned on starting this thing off with Social Bookmarking, however, I have opted to go the way of high PR blog posts, something that has worked to some extent for me before. I may well order social bookmarks somewhere down the road just to diversify links. I am also planning on ordering 1-2 fiverr gigs a week just to show what each one is doing.

    First Gig:
    http://fiverr.com/insurgo/create-45-high-pr-links-to-your-website

A minimum of 30 contextual backlinks on high PR blogs; I will split this between 3 keywords; which in quotes have the following results:
    Keyword 1 - "43,300"
    Keyword 2 - "25,600"
    Keyword 3 - "20,300"
