Hey BHW,

I took this bold step of trying to rank a keyword with 368K exact searches.
Screen shot of Google keyword tool:

And here is the market samurai screenshot:

The exact EMD wasn't available,so i added a word to the start. The site was registered on 11/12/2011.I added wordpress,a good looking theme, banners, logo, favicon, basic plugins(SEO pressor, contact US,WP cache,Pingler),and also added the site to twitter feed so that it tweets every time an article is posted on my site ( It helps in indexing ;) )

I have added 2 X 500 word articles with images.

I have also submitted to 30 web 2.0 sites, with a spinned article that has 42% uniqueness.

The top 10 sites don't have wordpress in them, and too many ads,pop up ads..etc..

P.S: i have ranked 3 sites to #1 in google, that is what inspired me to take this keyword :D

Any suggestion welcome :)

EDIT: this is my 200th post :D

Low Adwords competition = not a buying keyword = waste of time.

The adwords competition is low,but the keyword is related to movies.
So monetizing is not a problem.

Movie keywords are extremely hard to monetize actually, I own and rank for a number of movie terms. It's actually pretty easy and there are lots of EMD's around, monetization is a real pain in the ass.

The best method I've found is to capture as many e-mails as you can and then start pumping the list with details about the film, problem is you can't really convert till the movie comes out on bluray/dvd so it's a bit of a long term play.

i think you can try the "password " method. Upload the movies to mediafire(cause no waitin time),make sure the file is a bit large.and add password to a content locker page. :D

But i have a different idea for monetizing my site. Will post it if it works ;)

Added 800 word unique article to the site.
right now site is not in top 1000.

UPDATE:
site ranked 79th in google for the primary keyword.
Another strange thing happened,i wanst concenterating much on a secondary keyword, but it is ranked 67th and 69th in bing and yahoo respectively.

Will be adding another article today.
and will be backlinking the home page to another set of web 2.0's and bookmarking them too.

What is your way of finding your rank on different search engines ?

LOL no one heres know the difference between local and global ?

This keyword you target have 18k monthly searches not 300*.

As some members said, plan your monetization! You can get to 100 $/day with 1000 visitors doing some content locking or never break the 100 $/day mark with another one getting the same UVs,even if you do some tricks i won't talk mention here.

And i submitted 67% unique article (according to senuke) to the directories in the senuke social network module and pinged them.

will bookmark them later today.

Take no notice of the knockers and keep the case study moving.

Thanks mate :)

The site is climbing up in rankings, hoping to reach #1 soon, the top 10 sites are not optimized for SEO properly.

thanks again :)
