Damn. You have it tough lol. But I think they will charge more later on the 500 GBP.
Insurance companies just out to scalp clients - suck big time - a necessary evil you have to have by law
At least they pay when your car break down.
In here, when your stuff is broken, insurance company will overwhelm you with so much paper work that most people just quit and buy a new one.
I am not encouraging anything illegal, but in the uk when you are asked by the police for insurance do they run the numbers in a pc or call the company to see if it's valid? Here a person can have fake insurance cards and the police don't have a way to check and they do not even call to see if it's valid.
Not sure about UK but in the States if your credit score drops your rates climb big time. Insurance rates in the States factor in your credit score. If your credit gets too bad many companies will drop you even if you've never had a claim.
My brother is going through this right now. His job shut down, he fell behind on some bills and now his car insurance has more than doubled. He shopped around and all of them checked his credit score before offering a quote and all were within a few dollars of each other. Nice way for insurance companies to kick a guy when he's down.
good insurance company is worth much if you once get into hassle but i agree insurance companies are dicks not for me since i pay for my 525 bmw on full kasko arround 800 Euro but i'm also driving on 35 or 40% and never had an accident since 1997.
Since GB is in the EU i would recommend to register the car in another country and pay their local insurance fees.I see it now very often that car owners from germany are registering their cars in east europe as example as their insurance fee is just 50% of their domestic ones but you need also to remember they are not paying as much in accidents like insurance from western countries. But for an old car and a young driver its best what he can get if he is looking to safe money
Cops have scanners in their cars that auto read numberplates....tells them if the car is not insured or taxed or mot(road test) No escaping the cops over here !
***** your profession matters and students are high risk. you tell them you are a student.. thats why you are doomed... go to money super market.. .change your title from student to employed and see the difference for yourself...
What do 95% of lounge threads have to do with seo? Lol. But since the uk isn't in the schengen area, wouldn't it be hard to register it in another eu country since they can tell how long you were in the uk and out of the uk?.
it's pretty hard to register an right wheel card outside of uk first of all . second ... the major factor for car insurances it's the area where you live & park your car over the night lol . My wife last year had to renew the insurance and we moved few streets closer to police station the quote come with 500 pounds more than previous year ( just because of the switching houses lol CLOSER to the police station ) hahahha
It's because in the UK when you crash the insurance company sells your information and info about the crash to injury lawyers. The injury lawyers then ring the people involved in the crash and encourage them to claim injury compensation usually for whiplash and its hard to prove they're lying. So the insurance companies pay out millions in fake lawsuits to people and they pass the costs onto the consumers therefore UK insurance prices have skyrocketed in the last few years.
