car boot sales

on sundays me and my wife always like to
try a car boot sale here and there.
for you yanks who dont no what that is,
its usualy a large field were upto 2-300 cars
set up stalls and sell of there un-wanted stuff
anything goes.
now - im not that desperate - but anyone who visits
them knows theres always little trinkets to pickup for
peanuts. me personaly i like obscure ornaments
so i was chuffed [ happy ] when i found this
measuring 23 inches across - 12 inches wide.
biggest one ive seen in a while snapped up for
8 quid - bout 12$ -

its a conch Shell, Its mainly found in the caribbean. Am from the caribbean so these things are common but you got a nice looking one there. Congrats

I'm off to Jamaica on saturday will pick you up a couple if you like.
good to get one that hasn't been vandalised as they stab the end to
make the meat crawl out. ( tastes awsome) octopus get them out
without damaging the shell.

i was after a 2nd one to go with this one
in the compartment underneath it
looking for 1 a little smaller
13x6 thats 13 inches long no more
by 6-8 inches width
would love to get 1 like the 1 above
with a nice front lip on it.

use to see them around in the uk
then they just kinda vanished
