Is there a way to capture the link juice to a web page I have removed from a blog and send it to the main page. I took down a few pages and lost all the links because the URL they were linked to no longer exists. Is there a way to not lose all of that.

I uploaded a plug in called "simple 301 redirects" unfortunately it seems that I need to redirect for each lost page. It seems that using the 404 redirect seems like the best idea. Anything on my domain that doesn't have an exact URL should go to the 404 page. Then I 301 redirect the 404 page to homepage. I think that is what you are saying.
I also found a plug in called "404 redirected" it shows a "not found page" but doesn't give a url. If it gave a 404 URL I could put it into the "simple 301 redirect" and send all traffic that is collected by the 404 to the homepage throught the 301 redirect. Can you tell me how to do that.

I know that is a terrible explanation. What is the best way to put a 301 redirect on my site to direct any traffic or link juice to my homepage. I can't even follow that explanation I can't imagine anyone else could.

Thanks for the help

So, basically... you want all 404's in your site to be 301 redirected to your homepage, am I right?

Please check this plugin, Link Juice Keeper
This plugin helps you to keep the link juice by redirecting all non-existing URLs (they return error 404) to the blog front page using 301 redirect.
Code:

I put it on my blog, but didn't see any setup page. Read the authors page and didn't see anything on set up either. Apparently it is just activate and go. Perfect for me.

thanks for the help
