Was about time.
Canadians are always getting screwed with this stuff because there isn't as much competition like in the U.S.. I remember my father making a long distance call in the 80's to Ireland with Bell costing him a fortune for a measly few minutes but once other phone companies gave them some competition they were forced to charge lower rates.

Every time Bell calls my dad to sell some services my dad says, "Well where were you in the 80's?". He hates them and swears to never go back to them.
they flipped out when they lost their monopoly. they couldn't charge sky-high rates anymore.
