    Hey guys,

Maybe you already know, but i'm trying for about 1 and a half year to make money online. I tried many different things, but the one that was working best for me was blogging, on squidoo.

I didn't make much, but at least something, and now i know i can get my squidoo lens high ranked in google, after putting ALL my work in 1 lens to get it ranked for a keyword, now i can't even find my site in google !! :bawling:

It was already on page 3 for my keyword ! Now it's gone ..

I really want to make money guys, i can write good in dutch, and i know much about marketing, google, SEO etc ..

    What should i do ??
Buy a domain ? I have $2.30 in my paypal

Really guys i have to help my mom, and to make here proud !
( my father died a month ago :(, and he was also the main income of the house )

I hope you guys understand my situation, i really want to work for it and make it happen, need some help from peole that are already succesfull and understand my situation.

    Thanks for reading ..
    Christophe

I would copy and paste my squidoo lens and then delete the lens. Then paste the lens into a hubpages hub. Squdoo is dead.

Cristophee, I will purchase the domain name for you ... so just PM me!

Losing someone as important as a father is crucial for the survival of a family. My sincere condolences!

Also, don't lose faith and instead of sticking to only squidoo try out other authority sites, there are thousands out there

we are all going through some tough shit right now bro... well not all of us ... but some of us like me

we need to be smart use all the tools to our advantage. You can find tons of IM tools on the internet to help you and they are all free. I don't make any money yet but I'm rising up on the SERP's quick ... you just gotta work... there has to be a light at the end of the tunnel...

Sorry to hear about your situation.

I have also stil to make any decent money on the net (made a little but no where near enough!).

Personally, if I were you I would
1 - Get a real job in the meantime to get some real money.
2 - Buy a highly targeted keyword (for the subject that you have all your info on) .info domain from namecheap for < $3 and get free whois protection or
Buy a .info from godaddy for $1 (0.89 I think I got my last 1 at). In fact if you dont have hosting then that knackers that...
3 - Install wordpress on it
4 - Rewrite all your content if you think this will help so no to get hit with duplicate content (I have just been lol) - if you do check with copyscape
5 - Do lots of on site SEO
6 - Built lots of backlinks in your spare time (when your not working)
7 - Monetize the site with CPA offers / clickbank offers related to your keyword
    8 - Get Paid :)

Something that ive learned is that you need money to make money quickly, unless you really know what you are doing. If you go the free / very cheap way then its gonna take quite a bit of time.

Sorry if you wanted a magic button.

    Cheers.

God, what's the deal with people lately. Making a post and then 15 minutes or an hour later giving it a "bump" or even worse whining because no one answered. Just give it some time and people will answer if they're interested.

First off I really hate these kind of threads. It's just whining and begging for help. You have some responsibilities and things are tough right now, but it's tough for a lot of people.

If you really want to make something happen then look through the forums to find how to do things. In you're case it sounds like you've been reading, so I guess you also need to really try to understand what you've been reading. Do some additional searches both on bhw and on google to find out more info on a topic untill you reall understand what your doing.

You have a decent question here, but you could have asked it with out the whine for help.

OK you say that you've had a little bit of success with blogging. That means you found something that makes at least a little bit of sense to you.

But now you find that all the work you've been doing to get your lens to rank has all been for nothing. Well that means now is the time to really look at what's been working and what isn't for you method.

Blogging is one of the best suited platforms for the internet. It took a few years to develop, but once it did it took off like a rocket. But depending on someone elses platform is a bad idea for long term success. While you were building your lenses on squidoo you have been dependent on them as well.

If you are really good at making interesting content that gets real visitors, then you should have been working on your own blog based website as well. You could have been using squidoo for building some reputation and getting a following for your own website.

    My suggestion is to
    1. choose yourself a domain name that will work for the niche you've been writing in.
    2. find a reasonably priced hosting package.
    3. set up a wp installation, pick a nice theme, and start blogging.
    4. monetize with whatever methods were working for you on squidoo. cpa/affiliate/adsense/clickbank products or whatever works.

Just evaluate what you've been doing and get it to work better. You surely must have gained some knowledge by you experience so far. You can find other threads on the forum dealing with how to accomplish each of the steps listed above.

So, now get back to work and make something happen for yourself.

edit - damn you guys all responded fast. When I started writing my reply there wasn't any other replies. LOL
Of course I got sidetracked for a minut to watch that 12yo youtube kid performing on Ellen. Amazing to see that much talent in someone so young.

@OP - you just got a lot of suggestions. All of them are similar to mine. Don't try to jump on a new method. Take what you've learned from the blogging and figure out what needs to be done to make it work better.

Also, I do understand about losing your father. I lost my mom when I was 12yo, so I was very close to my dad. Four years ago he had a stroke and lost his language ability. I had to become a full time caretaker for him and devoted myself to taking care of him until he passed away two years ago. It can be a terrible time after losing someone, but you still have to do what needs to be done. My dad was such a large part of my life, it's been two years since he passed away and I still miss him everyday.
