So I've been making tonnes of Pinterest accounts over the last few days by just making a hotmail account, inviting it to Pinterest, then making a new Twitter account and signing up with that. But it isn't working for me any more, I just get a 502 error when I try to verify my Twitter account through Pinterest all day today. Is anybody else having these problems? I'm wondering if it's a new change to block just-created Twitter accounts?

It also doesn't work for new Facebook accounts. I can receive invites from my other accounts (on different IPs) but if I create a Facebook or Twitter account and try to use that to sign up I get a 502 error every time. It's only been today though, so hopefully it is an error. Is nobody else experiencing this?

Have you tried today creating a new account through a new Facebook or Twitter account? I've tried several proxies/IPs and am always getting 502 errors. Do the Facebook/Twitter accounts you're using have any followers or friends? I hope that isn't my problem.

While I can understand why Pinterest required to register from Twitter/Facebook at the early stages, right now its a bad business on their behalf. :)

Some, lets call them "chicks" never used twitter/facebook, or used the latest but dont remember the password anymore. With such a strategy Pinterest will always remain at best the 3rd largest Social Network. Because they can get only as many people onboard as there are on Twitter/Facebook.

    completely agree, poor strategy,
on a side note, I know my email invites are still working as someone signed up with one of mine yesterday, does sound like a proxy problem imo

Pinterest is very strick on account creation now. It's almost impossible to create accounts cheaper then the rate
of buying accounts. Due to having a 1:1 creation ratio with proxies.

I'm back being able to create accounts with fresh Facebook/Twitter accounts. Heaps of people were complaining about the 502 sign up errors on the Pinterest Facebook page so must have been a site malfunction. Good news because each post that gets on the category page is guaranteed heaps of repins and click throughs, so every fresh account = $$

What does that mean? Pinterest doesn't seem to care about IPs, I create accounts three to an IP and I'm only using public proxies. When i post from each account they all end up in the same category page first go, so I see no problem. The accounts also seem to last even when the IPs switch.
