    I went to my WordPress admin page and my password doesn't work anymore. My site doesn't appear to be hacked though. I went to myphpadmin to try and change the password and still no luck. Can anyone lend a hand? Thank you.

    contact your host company, this happened to me recently, they sent me a link and I could log in fine, but trying to log into www.domian.com/wp-admin would not work. They sent me the link, and the next day /wp-admin worked again also. I think its a WP issue

    When you change your password from PHPMyAdmin, the old value is cyphed up with AES (Rjindael) but the old MD5 checksum enc system also works and wordpress converts it automatically.

    So basically you need to do this:

    1. create a new file reset_password.php
    2. edit it with notepad, add the following:
    Code:
     <?php # untested
    require_once('wp-config.php');

    error_reporting(E_ALL);
    ini_set('display_errors',1);
    global $table_prefix;
    $change_password_for_this_user='admin';
    $new_password = '1234';

    mysql_query("UPDATE `".$table_prefix."users` SET `user_pass`='".md5($new_password)."' WHERE `user_login`='".$change_password_for_this_user."' LIMIT 1 ");

    die('OK');

    3. Upload this file to the root of your site. You know you did it right if it's in the same folder with wp_config.php, usually it's www/

    4. access http://www.your-site.com/reset-password.php in browser

    If all you see is OK then you're good to go, delete the file and log in using the new password. If there are more than just an OK. post those errors here.

    Good luck.

    Go to PHPmyadmin
    Go to wp_users table (given wp is your default table prefix)

    You see a row each for every users in your site.
    Select change in the admin's row.

    In the password's field, copy paste this.
    Code:
    55aa9aad393ca459215b005bf57a7996
    click go.

    Now go to your WP login, and use bhwrocks as the password,to login. That weird codes is the md5 has of bhwrocks.

    This should work just fine.
