can't get twitter traffic to convert

i get a few hunderd hits to my adsense sites and to some email submits..

they don't convert for me what am i doing wrong.. i know that i need more traffic but you would think i would get more than 1 adsense click out of 500 visitors or atleast 1 email submit out of 300 visitors.

any advice?

Something is wierd with twitter... I dont know if all those hits are real hits.. I'll send out a tweet (have like 200 followers) and get hits instantly, when i check the referring url though, there is no data, just a ip addresses.. but after that, here and there I get clicks and these have referring Url's. I think some of those hits are spiders or something.
I dont know.. dont think I've gotten any conversions from twitter either.

I've got the same problem, If someone know why ? (bot or somethnig ?)

Use bit.ly url shortening service. But you have to sign up with them to get api. After that you'll be able to access you traffic stat. Mine is showing more of spider hits. Out of 300 hits I get 30 from twitter.

An alternative url shorting service is cli.gs they claim to show only "human" hits... somehow they separate... again you will need to sign up to get the api

I have never found twitter good for much of anything really. I have several accounts with thousands of followers but never really gets me anywhere. Most of those are probably bot accounts (hehe like mine), so go figure.

I had the same problem I had like 3000 hits in one day and not one conversion so i gave up on Twitter as none of the Twitter readers really convert.So I am going to try a different method ad sense and article writing.
