Can't follow on IG, am I close to being banned?

Hello!

I have a 2 week old account that I have been using Followliker on, pretty conservative settings with just follow (250 - 350 a day) and like (300 - 400 a day). Right now I have about 300 followers and I am following about 1,5k (and probably a lot of pending requests since I follow private users as well). Everything was nice and running up until about 2 days ago when I changed my settings to start unfollowing people (turned off follow), conservative setting here as fell (probably 250 - 350): I noticed after about a half day that I couldnt follow people manually on IG on my phone anymore. The text just went green for a second and then went back to blue. So I panicked and have had FL turned off since then. They day after I tried following a couple of accounts manually on IG, and it went well. Today I started unfollowing people (or actually withdrawing pending requests) manually, probably around 60-70 accounts with a couple of minutes. While I was doing this I tried following someone, and noticed again that it wasn't possible. I am in some sort of blacklist now? What precautions to I have to take to "save" my account in the long run? Will I always have t be careful with every action from now on?

You should never follow and unfollow at the same time or even the same day for that matter. Unless you unfollow on day 1 and can't follow on day 2, I really don't see a problem here.
 
What is the text in your bio?
Do a test, remove all text in your bio, update your profile then try to follow and see if it works
 
Now wait for 2-3 days
Remove the link and do not do any activity
After 2-3 days start with a slow speed to follow /unfollow and you can add a link again
Do not do both at same day
 
Nothing's wrong. I used to follow people manually when I first started growing my instagram account and I could follow accounts until I reached that moment when it was impossible anymore. I would just wait a few hours, sometimes a few days, to start following people again. I think it has something to do with the amount of people you follow in a short period of time. There has got to be a limit of accounts you can follow in a row. Then I started using massplanner and everything was fine, I could follow up to 1000 people a day when I could only follow 200 people a day manually.
 
The text in my bio is short and only describes what the account is about, no links.

I haven't done anything but now, just a few hours later, I can follow again.

I know I am not supposed to mass follow and unfollow on the same day. But if I have Followliker turned off and I am manually ungollowing say 100 people a day, then I can follow say 5 people during the same day?

how is it possible doing it with an app and not manually?

I don't know, I guess Instagram has limits. You can't follow a lot of people in just a few minutes or you reach a limit and you have to wait until you can follow accounts again. I guess if you follow people manually, you tend to reach the limit faster than if you use an app with good and safe settings.
 
I've never used bots but surely it's no different (in instagrams eyes) than manually but this happened to me in my starting staged too many times. All I done was leave instagram alone for a day and it was all back to normal. Nothing to worry about, just be completely inactive for a day or two.

I did all mine manually so I didn't keep exacf count but I would always follow/unfollow between 400-600 a day.. I've been told the max is 700
 
there is a 1k follows and 1k unfollows per 24 hours limit on aged accounts. New accounts get in trouble a lot a lot faster, but I'm not sure what those limits are.

yes, I do it all manually. the few times I have hit the 1k mark I got blocked from doing it for between 24 hours and a week, which sucks. Since I figured out the limits and developed a schedule, what I have been doing is 900 follows on one day, 900 unfollows the next day, 900 follows the next, etc... and rotating off.

I tried doing 900 of both every day, but it was too hard coming up with a schedule that makes sure 24 hours have elapsed.. because its not per calendar day, its per 24 hour period... so its really hard to manage if you wanna push it to the limits. so for example if you do 900 follows at 9pm, and then 100 follows the next day anytime before 9pm... even 8:59, you get blocked. the blocks get more severe the more it happens. If the account is new, you could get banned after the first block. If its an aged account with regular activity, you can get blocked multiple times and be fine, its just an irritating delay. I think my main account has been blocked like 5 times for 24 hour periods, and once for a week.
 
No it is normal if you follow many people on ig in a short time that u get "locked" for a couple of minutes and sometimes 1 hour

Interesting....how old is your account?mine more than one year. I'm starting to do in similar way...i wanna understand how many followers go away after the unfollowing

I'm following 160 per hour to avoid any problem
 
i do around 700 per day follow 700 unfollow next day or sometimes up to 1000

My account is about 10 months old. I tried doing it on a couple accounts that I had just created, less than a month old, and both ended up getting banned quickly. I'm not really sure what the unfollow rate is though, as its not my primary source of new followers... its just a little something I do on the side.
