I came up with this after reading some ebook about how a guy was outsourcing leads on different freelance forums. I was checking up on it on the actual freelance sites , and it seems they are tons of guys offering this services and even getting good reviews as well.

So they are somehow generating good quality leads for the guy thats hiring. So the thing I am wondering about is how this would work ? Do these outsources do this cause they cant get accounts themselves on the networks ( which ain't hard at all ) ? Are they just good in faking leads ? Which sounds weird to me cause they have to agree on getting paid after the hirer gets paid by the network first ...

Anyone that has any experience in this matter and would like to shed some light on it ?

fake leads, credit card fraud etc. Think about this: if they could really generate good leads why not cash them themselves?

Yeah that's what I am thinking as well , I just wonder about the good reviews some of these guys get , and the whole point is that they are only paid after the hirer gets paid first. So I don't see how they would get away with fraud leads ..

I used oDesk for about 3 months to generate leads for my own IT business (not CPA). I setup a Skype account for the person to allow them unlimited phone calls to Australia, and gave them a task of 10 hours per week. The person I hired was good at finding active leads (yes I had real people that were interested in hearing more about my business and how I could help them), but unfortunately they were hopeless at keeping to my local area (Leads had to be from a certain area of Sydney). As such I cancelled the contract.

That being said, if I had a product which could be marketed country-wide (such as SEO servcies which I'm about to launch), then this would be perfect for them. In fact on oDesk to the 2 most common lead outsourcing is for SEO and website creation/design.

Most of the oDesk freelancers are from countries with few well-paid job opportunities, and as such, you can get someone for as low as $1.70/hour (although for a good leads generator, expect to pay $5 to $8 per hour). These guys are looking for a regular income so they can put food on the table, and provide some certainty for their family, not to get rich.

Best approach is to post a job, interview 5 people, hire 3 people, and fire 2 people : )

I actualy tried this my self few months ago. I read probably the same book and i said, what the heck. And i can tell you, its the fastest way to lose your money and CPA account. These guys on freelancer sites are big scamers and they are creating fake accounts them selfs and rate their gigs with positive reviews to make you belive they are good providers.

thx for the input mrankin , but thats a whole different ball game what you are talking about, I know these guys can be usefull for the stuff that you mentioned.

@armix , that's what I was thinking as well , the only thing ( most important one ) is that these guys have to agree on payment after the network has paid first. Why would any of them accept such an offer if they know there leads are bad quality ? Just sounds like a waste of time for them ...

I also thought the same thing as you and actually got in contact with some of these freelancers. I thought I had nothing to lose since I would be paying them after I got paid. But when I got in touch with one of them, he told me that the rule everybody goes by is the one that they must be paid first lol. Right there I knew 110% that its pure bs.
