So, I've been DS from Ali to eBay and Amazon to eBay for a couple months now, and I've noticed something kinda odd.

As you would expect, when you create a listing and it sells at least 1 of the inventory, you are unable to 'Revise' your active listing for PRICE, TITLE, blah blah whatever ebay says you cant.

Well then, why can you just BULK SELECT these same selling listings, and bulk "EDIT" the price, title, whatever you want and it works? These are BIN fixed price listings with, say 8 remaining inventory and are all active listings.

Does this not seem odd? Its just that I've been doing this for a couple months, up and down price changes on listings that sell consistently. I've only recently tried to Revise a listing to see that I got a restriction on changes made. When I immediately just edited them, it works just like it always has.

Opinions please! Is eBay gonna slap me?

    Cheers

Maybe because you reached your monthly selling limit? Otherwise, you can edit a listing at anytime.

No limits on my account, its over 14 years old. Perhaps there is a difference between REVISE and EDIT for listings that I dont understand yet.

It clearly states in the eBay help pages that once a sale has been made on a fixed price listing, you are only able to lower the price.

Whatever, its working so I guess people just do it this way. Its weird that there would be two different listing functions that would contradict eachother, and the ebay listing policies, no?

Yeah, thats the the way around it. Its sorta funny just never noticed the difference between Revise and Edit before, until it told me I couldn't change a price of an item that has already had inventory sold.

I'm just doing it the old, Edit way I always had now. If you try to select just one listing and Edit, it wont work tho. Has to be Bulk Edit, then you're good to go.
