Probably just a temporary routing issue.
A server somewhere between you and their server
( you hope through probably 10+ networks to access them,
so when one of them has an issue, until it is either resolved
or the trafic re-routes for the path of least resistance,
(another path to the server is created in a few hours, usually,
if one server goes offline ... if there is a JAM-UP/overload
on the traffic for whatever reason, that usually self-resolves)
DO THIS:
Click START
Click: Run
TYPE: cmd
HIT: Enter key
TYPE: tracert
www.hostgator.com ( note the space between tracert and the address )
HIT: Enter Key
This is a Trace Route command & action and will show you the servers through which you HOP top see you page & hostgator
When you have an issue and you see REQUEST TIMED OUT you know where the problem LIKELY is
