I have recently started getting a decent amount of traffic on a few Canadian (.ca) sites I have that I've been building links for. My question is, why am I getting so much traffic from India when I'm specifically targeting Canada?

I have 3 sites getting decent traffic and this is the case with all 3 of them. They are all hosted on separate servers and none of the baclinks are from Indian websites. Each of the 3 sites have backlinks specifically targeting Canada as well as having a .ca domain and lots of Canadian backlinks, yet, all 3 of them are attracting a lot of traffic from India.

Anybody know why this is happening? I checked some really big Canadian sites and many of them get a lot of traffic from India as well...

Indians speaks English and your posts might be re-posted in some large Indian forums. Anyway, Canada has 36 mil people, India has 1237 mil people, you do the math.

P.S.: what do you mean by lots of indian traffic?

By "lots" I mean percentage-wise. The sites are all Canadian but around 60% of the traffic, on average, is from India. I'm not going to turn away traffic from anywhere, and you're right there's a ton of people there, but for advertising etc. I need to know why this is happening so I can monetize accordingly. I can't find any backlinks on any Indian websites to explain this.

Asians are known as American a.. intruders. I know them well. :hmmmm2: They will sell mother to have some contact with Americans, on any way. Same with language. Even in movies they started to using their "broken english", like:"You are sho bjutifulj". :bebored:Everything is fine 'till you have only Indians. When Chinesse start to coming, your site won't need much to go down. They are viruses source.

    LOL.

60% is a high number, i have on my english websites 6-8% indian visitors. I even created a site specific for indians, with indian host, .in domain, indian backlinks, anything you can think of, and i only managed a 44% Indian traffic.

Regarding monetizing, you won't see big numbers here.

    P.S.:maybe you found a gem in geo-targeting :)
