Well, simple question, but for me not so simple to find the answer to this question somewhere online. So, can you use the product pictures from the Amazon website on your own Amazon affiliate site?
If so, do you have to use the link to Amazon, or can you host the downloaded pics on your own server?

Thanks for helping me out :)

Yes you can as they are professionally done, as long as they are the same as shown on the site. You could put your own pics on your site instead as they are generally of low quality. If you are worried then use EasyAzon plugin, it grabs the exact images for you via their own API so images are upto date.
BTW Army Of Lovers is a cool group

Of course you can. Why do you think Amazon offers the option that includes a link to the image?

I think there's been some issues with affiliates using images that a reviewer posted. That I think is against the TOS.

You can use any image you obtain using the Product Advertising API (obviously this doesn't include customer images).

You can use any image you obtain using site stripe or Amazon associates Product Links in the dashboard.

You can NOT download an image from the product page and upload it to your site - this is against their TOS. Yes, everybody does it, but you can be banned for it. I've discussed this with a few different Amazon reps, and they all give the same answer. Don't do it unless you want to risk losing your account.

Using amazon images for your affiliate money site is against their TOS. So you can use it by their API.
If you don't download an image and using it on your site. In this case, your account gets banned.

riding on this post, i always have had a question in mind and dunno where to sort, tried a lot of emails with amazon reps and it just reiterating using API using API.

my question is, to seek everyone in BHW's kind enlightenment:

if we use sitestripe bar on images, we can get the code for iframe or js to add in website, then how can i use more than just this images or resize the image size if using this method?

I dont have any plugins for this.

and also, how can i make use of the images to be the thumbnail of my website if i cannot download the images?

Yes, but beyond that Amazon has a link maker where you can include the product photos. No one is going to complain about you posting photos of a product that you're trying to help market/sell.
