Good and cheap
I have searched all over the place and tried a few. I would recommend vpsland ... $18 month and very reliable. The customer service is not the greatest but good enough for my purposes...
If you think this helps please send a thanks...
I have used
altushost dot com
They are awsome i have to say. There server very fast!.
altushost dot com
I found it,
1and1.com has a cupon code using this link and VPS is 19.50$ with 1GB of Ram
try fsckvps.com $9 a month unmanaged VPS
I'm using KnownHost. it's not the cheaper, but they have a really good support.
They had installed and recompiled a lot of thing for me, even before I asked. For example, I needed a php extension, and when I asked "how do I install this", the response was: "I've just installed for you"
@abhi1 a big THANKS!
is nice if want a professional VPS....
The cheapest VPS I have is from quillhost, found them on the dp forums. My package is only $6 per month. You can choose from multiple operating systems, I went with the cent OS template as it comes with everything you need to quickly set up and run multiple web services. You can rebuild though if you decide to use another os.
I was allocated two IP addresses, both locate to Canada. It comes in very handy to setup a ssh tunnel and make me look Canadian
Bad points - they have upgraded the servers twice and fucked up my server configuration requiring a rebuild. I do believe they have sorted that problem now though. It also took over a day for them to set up and register the domain in the first instance. However I can say it's very much worth the $6 each month considering what they offer.
better remove that affiliate ID b4 da ban hammer strikes
quillhost.com is a bit to small in resources
I also recommend Knownhost. Very good support and the servers seem to work well for me.
using scalahosting thye have very good server fast support i just love to be wtih thme
servint.net - best host I've ever had, bar none!
Good and cheap shouldnt really be the keywords here.
They are okay for a cheap shared account but a VPS depends more care and attention to things like robustness, support and reputation.
A cheap VPS will undoubtedly have cheap services and the extra you pay for a better servive may well be the best money you spent.
I have been through loads and can spak from experience.
Go for the very best you can afford.
A decent VPS should be $50 to $150 with $100 being a nice fully managed service.
Anything less than $50 a month would scare me.
Suggestions.... umm, I have a few out there now.
Surpasshosting.com and wiredtree.com are excellent.
The latter has extraordinary good support. I'm talking minutes....
Do you need a linux or Windows VPS?
As a general rule, if they advertise on DP, avoid them.
swtech.ie are pretty good for the price.. support replies in about 30 mins. Servers arent oversold.
An affordable host is a good host
fsckvps if you are familiar with unmanage server.
