There doesn't seem to be any real standouts that I've seen the the VPS industry, so was wondering any of you had suggestions. The VPS I need can be as poor as 256MB with 10GB transfer a month, but needs to be Windows based. I am not going to be using it for emailing. Thanks in advance for your suggestions/input.

No difference. Would prefer the provider not being uptight though.

Be cautious about buying those cheap VPS because you can get very slow machine and no support...

free VPN this is open source , so if you are into coding...you can tweak it as per your needs
An account is a username and a password. You will use these credentials to connect to UltraVPN.

try dreamhost it's about $20 for something like that. No b/w limit and they have great support from what I hear. I've heard some stuff about uptime but that's mostly for their shared hosting. I wouldn't recommend using it for spamming but you can run a scraper site or doorway pages off of it without any problems. There less concious about that stuff then say Godaddy.

Thus why I am asking around if people can recommend any. Just because it costs more doesn't mean it's better.

Looking for a VPS not a VPN, thanks for the input anyways.

DreamHost uses Linux based OS', I am looking for Windows based.

    "Virutal Dedicated Servers:

At the moment we don't provide any VPS or VDS services!"

Ha, this is getting to be a bit funny.

Shared or not doesn't matter, static or dynamic IP doesn't matter, GeoIP location doesn't matter. Basically I am just looking to run a program 24/7 that will only use the slightest bit of CPU and 50k memory. :p

To the other people who don't know the difference between a VPN and a VPS.

A virtual private server (VPS, also referred to as Virtual Dedicated Server or VDS) is a method of splitting a server. Each virtual server can run its own full-fledged operating system, and each server can be independently rebooted.

A virtual private network (VPN) is a computer network that is implemented in an additional logical layer (overlay) on top of an existing larger network. It has the purpose of creating a private scope of computer communications or providing a secure extension of a private network into an insecure network such as the Internet.

Bleh, sadly what I want to do is mentioned vaguely in their TOS. Haven't seen it in any other TOS other than theirs, ha. The search continues!

I'm surprised someone here hasn't started up a BlackHat VPS service that is decent.

A friend of mine uses VPSLand. Their standard Windows VPS runs about $18 a month, with 512MB of RAM and like, 10 or 20 GB of HD space. They're fairly good with support, and I do not believe he has had any ToS issues either.
