Let's say you are in a fairly manageable medium size niche that would max out at 1000 articles
If you had a completely new site, with no intention to build backlinks yourself.

What if you went ''crazy'' and spent insane amounts of $ to completely cover EVERY single topic in the niche and for every piece of content try to completely beat your competition.
Properly Siloing /Structuring & Interlinking everything, so it's not only good for SearchEngines but for getting the Visitors to go down the rabbit hole to view as much pages on your website as possible.

Eventually having 2-3x more content that's also a step-above in quality than your old & established competitors have (which happen to have quite a lot of links already)

Any Idea what would happen or Perhaps is there anyone that Has taken a Similar Approach?
I realize this would be quite impossible a few years ago, however, a lot has changed recently...

This is basically what I do, it still works, and I think the good content is the cheapest way to rank in all of SEO tatics.

That might take some kind of temporary effect I think.
I mean you need to keep doing all the stuff regarding the SEO you have been doing before.
Routine work should not be paused anyway.

Do you follow Chase Reiner used to think highly of him 2 years back but then one of the members of bhw busted him
I don't even know who this guy is, I just stumbled upon this video 2 days ago when I was doing some keyword research related research on youtube. Anyway, how did that guy bust him? Now I'm curious :)

Do you have a link or a name?

Yes you should be able to rank. Here is a case study: https://www.holisticseo.digital/theoretical-seo/topical-authority/

He ranked based on topical authority and the concept of entities. It's around 15,000 words so it's a long read. In short, he did no SEO, no on page, no images, no alt text, no menus, deliberately slow server etc. Basically, he made sure he didn't do anything that's recommended on-page wise. He's shared his sites and results.

thanks for the link. I'll check it out in a moment and either laugh or cry because I was so impressed with his knowledge yesterday when I watched his videoclip

I have seen this, His sites are in Turkish or some other Random language , basically his results are to be taken with a large amounts of salt :D
Ranking in different languages is completely different and you can do heavy spamming and rank with utter shit, google is not good in some random langauge nor there is much of manual control...

this guy did it last year

Checked the video briefly, so he has ULTRA Low competition niche which No one will write about on a topic that will make you almost no money.
+ he Targets ONLY 0 KD keywords with 0 competition...
You would rank for those keywords just by writing the article...

I got the impression that he is a total beginner at this by the stuff he was doing/telling :D

you may be right, I don't know. Other people on this forum said that he's been called out as scammer, so yeah....

AKA that can be achieved with auto spun content. Target all kinds of 0 searches kws and rank in months.

Its about time then. If you have patience then 0 backlinks content will see results in longer time but will definitely see results over a longer period of time.

Exactly.. I often get golden nugget keywords like that by reverse searching the auto-spun content crap question sites and seeing what brings in traffic for them :D

That really depends on what type of niche and its keywords difficulty,
You can do rank for low-med difficulty keywords with such a tactic, but you won't have a decent chance with the higher difficulty ones,
I most cases, you would make x10 more if you do invest in some good links, i wouldn't miss such a chance

Based on my experience, yes—but this is kind of tricky.

If you are targeting keywords that have a high level of competition or are currently being targeted by sites with high domain authority, you're going to have a tough time.

You will really have your work cut out for you.

The good news is if you find topically related content that gets “zero” searchers on tools like Ahrefs or Semrush, you may be on to something.

Now, this is not a slam dunk because, at this level, you're basically just going by how topically related those keywords or questions are to your niche.

But if you honestly see them fitting within the range of needs or questions people looking for your niche would be interested in, create content for them.

This gives you a tremendous competitive advantage because when your would-be competitors see zero or “N/A” result for those keywords, they won't bother!

They think that those keywords are trash.

Well, based on my experience, many of those long-tail keywords actually pull in traffic.

Now, I'm not going to lie to you and say that you're going to get millions of hits every month, but these small yet substantial streams of traffic add up to a mighty river of visitors every single month.
