This is just an idea and am wondering what others think or if they have tried this before. You have a competitors website, you run Xrumer like crazy on that domain name to try and get it thousand of backlinks in such a short amount of time that it raises a flag with Google and that site would get penalized. I know Google does not like a lot of backlinks in a short amount of time, so in theory this could work. What are your thoughts on this?

Fundamentally yes, sounds like it would work. It's just like bruteforcing user names until they lock I would assume.

    Dirty deeds, lol.

It could be twin edged sword, because if your competitor site is for example, old, brandable and with lots of good content, Xruming you can only help him to get better SERPs :D
But if this is new site, Xrum him, and POOF! he will blink :D
