    Hi,

I'm trying to target several long tail keywords at the time as it would bring some decent traffic.
And I'm stuck at researching the keyword competition. So please help me with the title question:

Can You Outrank the Non-ONPAGE Sites even though they're authority sites?

Let's take this keyword for example: how much baby food for a 6 month old

There is no Keyword in title in top 10.
There is no Keyword in meta description in top 10.
There is no Keyword in the context and h1-2-3 tag in top 10.

So is it safe to say that the keyword is rankable with proper On-Page SEO?

You can try, but using just on-page SEO can be a hit or miss. However, if you find yourself unable to rank for the keyword with just on-page SEO, you can always build backlinks later.

Besides the above, that example keyword has a featured snippet in the SERPs. I personally avoid those keywords.
