Can you host websites on windows server ?

Hello,

Is it possible to host websites on windows server ? I have only use linux in the past, but now I want to use windows server.Does cpanel supports windows server ? Or I need to use something like plesk or something else.

Yes you can, but why would you want to? Windows Server sucks ass compared to a decent Linux webserver. Slower, much less secure unless extensively hardened and will choke under load.

Yes there is a version of Cpanel for Winblows called Encompass but it's not quite the same as the real Cpanel.

Yes you can, most of us use windows server.

I prefer linux, however it does not make much of a difference.

Haven't thought of doing that... VPS is a windows server but used linux on hosting anything.

Anyone know where tutorial is to set that up?

Yes you can do... It can be done by installing IIS WEB SERVER... and it can be managed in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\.
