    Hey guys,

I've a client who unfortunately whilst typing their business name the google suggestions box comes up with their name scam ie "business name scam".

They did at one point contact google asking them to remove it and well it went away for a month without a response from google however it has come back again and they're probably losing a lot of business from it as they're in the property market.

I was thinking possibly trying to create other google suggestions like "business name thailand" "business name brazil" and hope they shift it off perhaps. I read that getting alot of searches for the terms from different ip's will do this, does anybody have any experience with this and any suggestions? even better any software to do something like this? :>

    Cheers,

    H

Tell the bloke to hire a lawyer and sue Google for loss of earnings. If they've requested that Google remove it, and Google has acknowledge that message, taken action, then put it back you have pretty good grounds to take action.
Of course Google won't back down and is unable to admit its in the wrong, so you probably won't win, but what you do then is send out a TON of press releases, letters to newspapers and government officials, forums, etc etc. Basically you create so much publicity that rather than {Business Name Scam} you'll have {Business name sues Google} come up :D

Are you certain that the browser is not using your history to suggest? If you search for "company scam" once and come back later, it will pop up. Start a "Inprivate Browsing" session in IE and see if it is still there.

I can help with this. I had a client who was arrested and acquitted but his name + crime was coming up. Send me a PM or skype if you have a budget.

thanks guys, it definitely isn't a cache problem it's coming up for computers that have never searched for it before at all.

Does anyone know a technique for trying to get rid of the suggestion?

I was told that doing a lot of searches for other terms similar ie company name brazil, company name cyprus etc (they sell properties) and creating some news for those searches would create new suggestions and should knock it off hopefully.

I was thinking perhaps zennoposter could do this with a lot of proxies, I've not had any experience with the software before has any1 else and how easy would it be to do this and do you think it would work?

Well I'm pretty new to Zennoposter, but just gave it a quick try and it appears to be quite easy to set up.

    1. Go to google
    2. enter search term, use macro to take one line from text file
    3. click search

Then you can create a loop to run thru however many searchs/terms you have.

You can either delete each line as it is searched or just keep going.

Can also add pauses to appear more human.

Well I'll keep yas updated, should be purchasing zenno poster in the next 2 weeks and once I've gotten it ready I'll then be buying a lot of proxies to do it from.

Planning on using about 180 proxies per month and each proxy will do around 6 searches a week but with some variety and different results they'll be clicking on.

What happens when you google "company name scam?" Does it show a list of people with complaints against the company? if yes, it is not google's fault that they are scammers or just have a bad business reputation. even if you try to bump the suggestion off the list, it will come back if they have a problem with their reputation offline.

but there are still things you can do about it. namely, use your seo skills to change what is listed. create great reviews and backlink with the term "company name scam" and they will rank higher than the legit reviews.
