    Hi,

I wanted to know can you get in trouble if you copied forum threads and posted them up on your own site including replies people have made?

    Thanks

I think it is in direct violation of copyright. But, @BassTrackerBoats might know more on this.

I have seen people posting reviews from sales threads on websites as testimonial.
But other than that I am sure there will be limits on copying & using them.

A lot depends on what you copy. Ask the mods to clarify.

I actually wrote a system that scrapped stack over flow questions and spun and added related content from social APIs. I was getting about 8000 UVs a day. But traffic just didn't convert and I also wasn't sure of the legalities. Just wasn't a sustainable business model really.
