I normally get approx 2 -3 sales per day on average, but went on holiday last week and they went up to 10+ per day, it seems when im not touching blogs or my sites my sales and adsense go through the roof, this also happened in october when I went away for a week - I had that many sales I could not cope.

WTF

I need to update m sites daily but by doing this it seems to be harming my bank balance.

Could this be a coincidence....??

I tend to believe coincidences only happen once, but that seems to be the only explanation here.....How about a little more info, maybe there is a reason here that isn't apparent. What was your views like for that week? Did your views go up too or just your conversion rate? I would guess that if your conversion rate went up and views stayed the same, it is just coincidence. If your views went up, there may be something you are doing that is hurting your traffic.

Are you updating with completely unique content everytime?

Well, what happened with your traffic during the time you were on holiday?

Was their spikes in traffic?

If you had exactly the same traffic and you were getting 500% more sales that would be pretty weird.

Is there a coincidence in the time of year you're going on holiday? For example, if you were to go on holiday each year during, say, christmas and you have holiday related sites up, it would make sense.

My sales go up each year during a certain time for about a 2 week period.

No it's not your absence that is contributing to your increase in sales. It's the content of your website or the effort you put in the past that is beginning to mature into profitability. You need to keep up the good work so that you can milk that cow fwiw!

Thanks for the reply

I went on holiday October then again last week, traffic has not changed that much,

all I can think is that my listing are moving around in the rankings due to my activity with the blogs.

What I cant understand is that you would think the more active a blog was the high it would get ranked - opposed to me leaving it for years and it fading away.

Also the products I was selling were not seasonal.

I agree with me going on more holidays though...

then grab a beer and enjoy your sales and the most important thing: do not touch your sites :D

do you believe if i say if i don't open my adsense acc for a long time and then check it, my earning go through the roof everyday. the next day after i open the acc, the earning plummets.

this kind of things do happen.

Maybe you just did more work BEFORE you left because you knew you were going to be away.
