Nope. sorry, you can't change your ip. will never work.

give up now before you end up doing something futile and ruining your life.

There are several software programs that change your IP address for you - I had one that would automatically change your IP every 1 - 10 minutes. It was H*ide-th*e-I*P or something like that. Does anyone have a link to a program like that I'd like to test it with some blackhat strategies and would be more than happy (sh...don't tell George Carlin) to report back the findings.

If you have a router, just clone your mac address.

yeah the best way to change addresses is hack your router and change the mac address daily and you will always have a different ip.

If you are on cable broadband or DSL you can change your IP by just unplugging the power cord to the modem and plugging it back in. You can check it by going to 'whatsmyip.com'

You can always manually change it, go to control panel, then click internet options, then go to the connections tab, then click LAN Settings, Then you will see a place to check "Use a proxy server for your LAN, then once you checked that box, you will insert your ip address you got from the internet, search google for ip list, here is one site http://www.checkedproxylists.com, take any ip and port. Put those in the correct text boxes and click ok. Then open Internet Explorer, it only changed the ip for Internet Explorer "if you want to do this for mozilla click on tools when you have the browser open and you will see kinda what im talking about here or send me a pm and I will walk you through it". Try to go to any web page, if it was successful then you have a working proxy if not, then just find another one and repeat the process, or download Tor or hide my ip platinum. To disable what u just did, then just simply click the auto detect settings check box in the connections tab, and you will back to where u started.

I had the same problem - so I called the cable company and they could not find my modem online even though I had internet access - he said he could not see me from where he was. Strange, eh? He said he had never seen that problem before - so who knows...but you are right I had the same issue.

BoDeezy I will try that when I am more awake and let you know how it turns out.

    Most appreciated!

Lol or you go with AOL and they will do the job for you. They change it all the time with no action needed.

    True.

The problem is where can you find an older version of their software that won't auto-update to the "new" versions that have more bugs in them than the basement of a hundred year old abandon home?

    That's true as well.

I am not entirely sure but if you use a router to create the internet connection there is no need to install the aol browser on the computers. The question then is will the IP still change automatically?

hey guys the easiest and most secure method is TOR. its also free.

bodeezy your method is good, but it takes a lot of work, with tor you just click "get new ip" and thats it.

Yeah, thats just in case you can't find software and need to do it yourself real quick, so you don't have to wait for a download and wait to install everything. ;)

Also its not so much work if you know your way around a computer ;)
