Hey guys,

Quick question. Not sure if this is a dumb question, but is there a way to determine what links show up under your website in Google search results?

Screenshot attached so you know what I'm talking about

Thanks!

Seems everything is automated at the moment, but I will look into demoting URLs from the sitelinks.

Thanks!

You CAN remove listings, but you CAN NOT change them. I have tried very hard to figure out how google determines these listings, and I've got it down to a science. Its CTR and time on site. The pages on my website that have the highest CTR and time on site are the ones that appear in my sitelinks.

Basically, build good pages. Usually for E-commerce sites the store page shows up, the FAQ, etc... If a bad link is showing, just force remove it from showing up via webmaster tools.

IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GO CRAZY: Tell google to remove ALL but 6 pages on your website. Google will be forced to show these 6 pages.

+1 on partyneon's advice, except the only time I ever blocked all but 6 pages G stopped showing links at all - that was a while ago though.

PartyNeon is right, there is no way to control what links appear below the root domain, it's called links list and if you want to remove any of it, you can do it through the Google Webmasters Tool. And, I'm with PartyNeon, that these links appear due to high user engagement and if the site is properly structured.

Usually, if you have a navigation menu, most of the time some of these menu items will appear as link list...

I will suggest you go to Webmaster Tools Home page, click the site you want.
Under Site configuration, click Sitelinks.
In the For this search result box, complete the URL for which you don't want a specific sitelink URL to appear.
In the Demote this sitelink URL box, complete the URL of the sitelink you want to demote.
