    could be self marketing....... like a company selling their domain for xxx.xxx$ to another company ( same owner) and all internet media are talking about it so the domain gets a promotion for free :) .I dont belive its real cause everyone knows Palin is burned for the position as president :D

    thats so fake, all they did was buy a shitty domain name and to make the site itself would take me like 5 mins

    Yeah, but chances are the bid hoping someone would come over the top and no-one did so it "sold". Also, quite often on Flippa someone will BIN a site/domain, with absolutely no intention of buying.

    There are also more subtle reasons for buying something from yourself than just visibility and advertising - eg: making cash from questionable / secret source go from a fake account to a real one .
