Can we use Youtube Videos to take original product images for Amazon affiliate site?

As per new Google update, it want us to use Original product images so it can make sure that the product reviewer actually used the product.

As it's not possible to buy and use every product we review, how are you coping with new Google update and sourcing images?

My idea is to take images from youtube videos who are reviewing similar products we are looking to source the images from? But I don't know if it infringes copyright or is it OK to do so.

Anyone having experience regarding this?

I don't have experience regarding this but I think it's fair use if you edit the image, and you are not infringe the copyright

That's what I do when I can't find relevant images.

I go to Youtube, put in what I want to search for, enter a video with little recognition, go to the minute the product appears, and take a screenshot, then edit and upload it to my site.

Or go to Ebay (or similar) and see the images uploaded by the sellers.

What kind of edit do you do on the images?

Normal edit, resize the image, add a color correction, and if necessary some text or some PNG

Will doing that remove any copyright protection on the image?

It depense, in this case is a youtube video so you are safe becuase is "Fair Use".
But if you are using like image with copyright in it, like "Adobe Stock" in that case, this doesn't work, and they will claim your image.
