Anyone knows where to buy that? I made an app for macos and want to promote that.
I don't believe that option is available in Facebook's list of targeting features for advertising. Alternatively, you could target people who are interested in apple products.
Here are their targeting options,
Hope that helps,
FB offers targeting by demographics and interests, meaning the targeting is made from user's profile (location, sex, age etc.) and connection (friends and "likes"), not from technical data such as browsers or operating systems.
Unfortunately there is no way to target users of a specific OS in FB nor in adwords. But you can work smart to approach this kind of targeting, ie:
- For FB: target people who "like" pages related to macs. People who like these pages are most probably mac users. (This is more or less what TheContentAuthority said above, but I suggest targeting specific "mac" related interests rather than "apple" which seems to broad to me - iPhone, iPod and iPad users have an interest in apple products don't necessarily have a mac computer)
- For adwords: Use the "audience" targeting and combine your audience with "Computers & Electronics > Software > Operating Systems > Mac OS"
I can tell for a fact that such clever targeting does work, as I am a mac user myself and constantly see ads for Mac apps (that I don't see when I occasionally use a windows PC).
I tried buysellads.com but it's hard to fine a good spot. Before there used to be adbrite where we can buy ads from any specific website. I wonder where else are like that?
