    Hello
i am thinking to purchase vps to run my imacros bot of addmefast to gain points which is already shared here in bhw.
now i have some fear that vps provider can check my vps like what am i doing and will steal my information like bots.etc.Can vps provider do it?
thats why i am looking to buy a high server on my home but its quite pricey.will have to do hardwork for many months to afford a high speed pc in my home.
what do you suggest.any opinions and suggestions will be appreciated

I never had such problems and I'm running a bunch of tools there. You should be fine.

Yes, a VPS provider can check what you are running on the server just to make sure there is no illegal activity going on.

Technically Yes but if that gets leak out he might get no business after that. So i doubt if any vps provider might have done that..

Sure they can view it, but if they own a VPS/webhosting company what do they need to steal your free iMacros scripts for? You're worrying about snow in the Bahamas; just sail on.

I am working for a hosting company, and i can tell you that we never check what our clients are running on their VPS.This should be rule number 1 for every hosting company...Sometimes we need to login into certain VPS, because the client have issues with the connection or he wants his ip changed, or he wants some help with the software.
But i am sure that if you are using your VPS for legal things, you will never have such problems.

If you are using linux VPS, its easy to check if someone has entered in it.About the windows VPS its harder to understand if someone has used your VPS.

You are not right. The vps provider should only check what the client is doing on his VPS only if they receive complain or the company has some doubt about the certain client.

But yes you are right about that every hosting company can steal the information or check what the client is doing with his vps, but that would be really unprofessional.

I don't think the VPS provider will enter in your VPS without letting you know. Since it is against the privacy of the client. They will only enter on your server if you face any issue. You can also check who enter into the server through the logs of your VPS and you can ask hosting provider, if you suspect unauthorized login.

If I had a dedi and gave you a slab of it I would want to know what you're doing with it. I wouldn't still from you though because If you lose money you couldn't pay the bill. Get a dedicated server or use AWS.

Providers sure can check on the services that you will be running on your server. Especially OpenVZ, but not so much on KVM since it is your password that is required to unlock it.
