Can the US Govt get privacy protected whois?

    Just wondering ..


    I searched but couldnt find out if the US govt could get their hands on whois details if privacy protection was enabled?


    whats the law?

    most whois privacy protection will respond to a subpoena

    read T&C to find out what exceptions there are

    They can quite easily. Privacy protected whois is just there for convenience, it is not to help you fight censorships and such.

    There is absolutely no privacy they have been listening to your calls even before 911 so what should we exspect inregards to whois

    The guv can find out alomost anything. And after 9/11 the security measures have grown.
    They can find out even the IP you use to connec to the site
