Can the names of images help with SEO?

    does naming your images with keyword rich names, help at all with SEO?? [email protected]

    Agreed.. Big G does not have much to go off of sometimes in order to rank images...

    Obviously content surrounding the image is good for gbot, but adding alt text, title text and a relevant file name is a plus...

    Images are content too. Name of images is way of telling google that it is related(even if its not) to your article or post. If you have 3 images to post, its best that you gave each different related names like movie.jpg, film.jpg, movie-pic.jpg

    I find that I get a significant amount of traffic just from google images by uploading pics on my sites with my targeted keywords in the pic titles.
