    I want to know whether a snooping AM can access the files within my server where my webpages are kept?

    If so how do I go about stopping this?

    For example, they can't access an Index/ page for my site which lists every image, page, script on my public_html foldeR?

    I remember when i temporarily took my index.html down I saw a page which revealed everything on my public_html file

    Not unless they decide to look at your site when you remove index.html again. (Or if Google happened to cache it?) They're not magic and unless they're hacking you they can't see what you can't.

    I recommend having a blank index.htm in every one of your directories. That will stop people users from directory browsing.

    Dont know what the code is, but its on here somewhere. but you put it in your .htaccess file and it tells the serps not to index you at all.

    It stops the server from generating directory indexes and exposing your files. You can place that anywhere. I suggest you put an .htaccess file in every directory you want to deny public access to with this in it.

    Code:
    [FONT=Courier New]<LIMIT GET POST>
    order deny,allow
    deny from all
    allow from none
    </LIMIT>[/FONT]
