    Can someone look at this WP theme and help me figure out how / where to put adsense?
    I have made use of the prebuilt ad boxes with offers from linkshare, but I want to put adsense in the sidebar and it just isnt working for me.
    Can anyone take a look and see what needs to be done to stick adsense in this themes sidebar so that it is aesthetically pleasing.
    Code:

    i think the best place of adsense is 300x250 at top sidebar, and every single post..

    You might like to use Max Banner Ads to place your adsense code. It is easy, and seems to work well with many of my themes that aren't preconfigured for adsense. I think I saw it in member downloads recently

    Well the sidebar looks small, only adds that should fit in there are either skyscrapers or link units. You might want to experiment with a Skyscraper (pick 160px width if it fits) right beneath the RSS icons at the top.

    I'd add a 336x280 or 300x250 rectangle to the content area as well, either above or below the title or below the article. You might want to use a different font color for Adsense to make the ads stick out, white font text does not cut it I think. Try the standard #0000ff blue link color for instance.

    Easiest way to add to the sidebar is just going to be to hard code it in the sidebar.php file. Go to that file, and add your code after the search form.

    In other words after this:

    Code:
    <form method="get" action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>">
    <input type="text" value="Search here..." name="s" id="searchh" onfocus="if (this.value == 'Search here...') {this.value = '';}" onblur="if (this.value == '') {this.value = 'Search here...';}" />
    		</form>
    add your code:
    Code:
    <div align="center"><script type="text/javascript"><!--
    google_ad_client = "pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx";
    google_ad_width = 120;
    google_ad_height = 240;
    google_ad_format = "120x240_as";
    google_ad_type = "text_image";
    google_ad_channel = "";
    google_color_border = "790101";
    google_color_bg = "790101";
    google_color_link = "D2D7BA";
    google_color_text = "D2D7BA";
    google_color_url = "385100";
    google_ui_features = "rc:0";
    //-->
    </script>
    <script type="text/javascript"
      src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
    </script></div><br />
    [Looks nice--I recommend centering the ad as it looks awkward otherwise; you can also fiddle with the color of the title and text as I made it the same as you see, but for examples' sake, this looks pretty nice. You can change the add format to one you like too; perhaps a big square or a wide vertical skyscraper; whichever you think will look good--the gradient of color in the sidebar will make a larger vertical unit look less and less blended as it increases in size vertically.]

    Hit save and you are good to go~

    eta: the code I show includes the centering of the ad; just wanted to let ya know in case you add the adsense unit directly in without adding it that it may look funny without centering it.

    I would do banner ads instead of the text ads. IMO they look better than just the plan text ads at the top of the page.
