    I am new to keyword research and I need some guidance please.
    Can someone give me an example of the PERFECT keyword for a niche website?
    Don't get me wrong I know how to do keyword research(exact searches,competition,intitle,inurl etc) but I don't know the exact numbers for a perfect EASY to rank keyword:|

    For example I have a keyword with 260 exact monthly searches(LOW FIGURE I know) the keyword in quotes has 8,800 searches,intitle 41 ,in url 6,intitle+inurl 6, so there are only 6 people who done proper seo for my keyword...but now comes the problem...when I search my keyword in google without quotes I get 603.000.000 results...I'm not a genius but I think it would be impossible to rank it:|

    So I need an example :

    A perfect keyword example (I PROMISE NOT TO USE IT!) or

    A perfect keyword example numbers

    exact monthly searches=?
    without quotes=?
    competion=?
    with quotes=?
    intitle=?
    inurl=?
    intitle+inurl=?

    If someone has the time to give me this information I would be very grateful

    Thanks

    I don't know how to help you now...I can only tell to look if in the first pages there are authoritative sites (wikipedia, youtube, yahoo answer ecc).

    They have a lot of BackLinks and are High PR so it's quite impossible to rank high!

    Go through the pages of this forum and you'll find all you need! .. something like this:

    Just search a niche with 2 to 3 keywords in google, You can find lot of domain names in page #1. Then Analise that domain name or keyword in google keyword tool, market samurai,.. etc

    A perfect keyword would have:
    1) 100.000+ exact [KEYWORD] match searches
    2) All sites in the first SERP page would have very few backlinks, preferably without using the keyword in their anchor
    3) None of them would be exact match domains (EMD)
    4) The domains wouldn't have the keyword at all in their respective domain names
    5) The keywords wouldn't be used at all in their titles, H1, urls etc.
    6) All domains in the SERPs would be new

    PS: Don't bother with broad search volumes, always check the exact ones. The more words you combine in your keyword the more broad results it would have. If I had the keyword "buy keywords that are awesome" a broad search without quotes would list any site that has ANY of those words and that is in the index. You don't really care for this result.

    SENuke has a program that checks the niche and tells you how easy and or difficult it is to rank it up.

    Hey mate

    It's not gonna work like this man , no one is gonna give u an easy to rank keyword

    You need to work hard bro , and to find that keyword , then go for it.

    A tip from my experience is to find a niche you would like to work on , then to find a good keyword for that , and just do the site , then work on backlinks etc.

    Good luck man

    Yes I agree with you,also 100 000 exact searches is a LOT ,very hard to find ....but you didn't actually answer my question :(
    if I find a keyword with 100 000 exact searches the chances are that keyword searched in google without quotes may result in milions of results...so I 'm back to square 1

    I need low acceptable numbers for:
    exact monthly searches=?
    without quotes=?
    competion=?
    with quotes=?
    intitle=?
    inurl=?
    intitle+inurl=?

    Thanks

    Best way to learn what keywords are easy to rank, is to try to rank them.
    It's more of an art than a science, as there are many different factors to look into.

    exact monthly searches=?
    without quotes=?
    competion=?
    with quotes=?
    intitle=?
    inurl=?
    intitle+inurl=?

    ^^^^I don't personally use any of those to determine if I go after a Keyword.
    Once you have ranked some KW's and failed on some KW's, it will be easy to tell.
    I can simply google the term, look at a few things with SEO Quake, and determine
    whether or not I will go after it.

    Just for shits and giggles, here are specs on a KW I am number 1 for.

    exact monthly searches=3900
    without quotes=13,900,000
    competion=Don't Know What You Mean. Yes, other sites are in the top ten.
    with quotes=13,800
    intitle=1,340
    inurl=1,060
    intitle+inurl=908

    Here is a keyword I am looking to rank:

    exact searches:4,400
    broad searches:450,000
    keyword without quotes:340.000.000
    "keyword":125,000
    intitle:2690
    inurl:292
    intitle+inurl:222

    Am I on the right path? Or should I look for another keyword??

    It doesn't matter how many results are without quotes. Google will rank better the ones that are closer to the original term, and if you play nicely with onpage and offpage factors you can do it.

    If your keyword is "blue widgets that rock", Google will rank even a page that has somewhere in the title the words "red widgets", it will rank lower of course. Is that page your competition? Not really. You care about pages that have all your words!
