Yes, first learn what is Social Media before asking this question, otherwise you would know the answer.
Social Media is the new world of people where they spend shitload of their time on shit like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other useless shit like that.
Basically you try to fit in into those people, get their attention and direct them to somwhere?
To where exactly is for you to choose, to a site, to a video and etc...

Yes but is there specifc strategy for different network? Is good way to make branding and traffic on one network not good on other?

Example: Pinterest, you follow people interested in the same niche ==> 30% of those people follow you back ==> 5% click on your offer ==> You scale it up & Enjoy the easy money

Each social network has it's different marketing methods and as with everything online is a big learning curve and plenty of trial and error. Pick a site and then read all you can about using it as traffic source.
