How's it going guys. I want to get something clear that's been confusing me a bit. I am working on my first CPA site and have my keyword. I always hear others saying to get more keywords for your site, etc.

-Is getting more keywords a way to get more traffic?
-I am guessing that these keywords have to be related?
-Do I have to do keyword research for these extra keywords?
-How would I incorporate these keywords into my site that has a main keyword? Create more posts?

I just need to clarify these things. Thanks guys!

You need to keep focus and don't begin to rank 100 kw at the same time!

And yes - if you want to add more kw, then would you definitely make life easier for your self if you make a solid kw research before you begin to work on your onsite and off site seo.

The reason I ask is because I'm about to outsource some content and I know they ask for your main keyword and other keywords as well.

Unless you are a nut like me... I build sites that target hundreds of KWs.

That statement about solid KW research is so very important!

    Answers to your questions:
    1. No. They should be limited in number. Using relevant keywords is the key, also don't go on using every keyword that comes on to your mind, only use the ones that are used by users while searching.
    2. Yes, keywords should be related to the content of the page, but need not be related to each other.
    3. Yes.
    4. Of course. Keywords should be related to the content of a particular page, not of the whole site.

i only targeted 1-2 keywords per site, for additional kws, i may build another micro niche site for that. Adding too many keywords may not be a good ideas unless you have a big sites with over hundreds of pages
