    Hi,

Just wondered if someone that knows these things could take a look at the following domain: xxxxxx.de which redirects to a adult cam site.
It's ranking pretty high in Google at the moment for some pretty big terms like 'sexy cams' hxxp://google.com/webhp?hl=en&tab=ww#hl=en&psj=1&q=sexy+cams&start=0

Checked the page source for the initial page and all I can see is title, meta description and a H1 link pointing back to the URL.

Is there more to it or is this site really ranking for 3 or 4 words written in H1?

So, how do we learn without discussion and learning from others?

Reading. Research of your own. Especially when it's obvious it's not a title\meta or h1 tag doing the trick.

May I be as bold to suggest it's the common 301's and private network(s) tactic?

Don't you mean "it used to rank for some pretty good terms before some fuckwit outed it on a BH site"

Why would you post someone else's links on here? Think before you post.

You can learn without outing someone else's links.

This is the newest form of retaliation for those with no interest of this niche.

Probably signed up, paid a subscription and then realized it was previously recorded.

Yeah, perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned the URL but why do you care? I expect the owner doesn't come here anyway..
I am not black hat, I tried it and discovered that you waste months of your life and barely get anywhere, for me whitehat is better.

The reason I posted the URL was out of interest, nothing more.
I asked before how do you learn and benefit from discovery without discussion, I got one asshat that said through reading and research on your own..

Come on guys.. If you want to learn, learn off each other. If you don't want joe bloggs white hat reading the blackhat forum, make it closed to registered blackhatters only..

The last reply to this thread said that the site had 375k backlinks which is fine, isn't google punishing backlinks now?

If you're wanting to perform white hat SEO only, why would you create a thread outing a site that has high SERP's in the black hat section?

You clearly haven't read or researched anything if you're asking if backlinks are being punished. Stick to the basics, and comprehend that thoroughly, learn from others by asking specific and educated questions if you can't be bothered to take the advice previously.

Dinkish, I don't know you nor you me. However I have learnt enough over the last 10 years

Dinkish, I asked the question in the Black Hat section because I was curious what caused the site to outperform it's rivals and perhaps try and replicate it using whitehat. Of course this site is no longer high in Google SERPS and was just a temporary blip. Fact is black hat doesn't work, I was wanting to mimic the behaviour in a white hat way.

You don't believe high backlinks are being punished? You are incorrect. Perhaps this depends on domain age and other factors however I have seen for myself that a new domain that got 900,000 backlinks in a few weeks got punished. I removed the links using disavow amongst other ways and GWT shows that my site is not improving.

I responded to your question "isn't google punishing backlinks now". The answer is no. And as for "high backlinks", having a higher number of backlinks doesn't mean you're going to get penalized. It means you did it incorrectly, if you weren't able to achieve results. Anchored text diversity, varying domains with higher trust authority and relevant content and increasing links exponentially over time are just a few considerations to keep in mind.

"Fact is black hat doesn't work"You failing, doesn't mean it doesn't work... Black hat SEO does work if you do it correctly, however it's not forgiving if you don't. As you mentioned you saw someone being stupid, and created close to a million backlinks within a month, however using that as an argument that "...black hat doesn't work", makes you just as naive as the person who did that in the first place.

How were you planning on emulating the techniques in a "white hat" manner anyways? You obviously knew you needed black hat techniques to achieve that ranking, since you posted it in this section.

How can you call yourself a real search engine optimizer if you expect everybody to do everything for you. I'll share 5 links that will help you analyze your competitors

    On page optimization: http://www.internetmarketingninjas.com/seo-tools/free-optimization/
    Social Media Signals: ahrefs.com

Cenkoted - I never once said I was an SEO'er. I just think cloak and dagger black hat is bullshit.

I am well aware of the sites you spammed but I really only use Ahrefs & Majestic SEO along with Google / Bing and Archive.org and SEO Spyglass.
Toolspot was pretty interesting, this showed that he had been guest book spamming, presumably with Scrapebox. Of course the domain has now been caught by Google and crashed and burnt. Those 375k backlinks are looking pretty worthless now.

Of course, I wouldn't be able to replicate guestbook spamming without getting my domain penalized however it does prove that backlinks work as long as they are not spammy.

You really toss around the term spam loosely, don't you?

You can backlink in volume ("spam") if you do it intelligently. Campaign duration and diversity is key. Have you ever heard of the saying "Correlation does not imply causation"?

I seriously think you're in the wrong place for a statement like that.

The fact is that black hat does work - and I've banked over 500K in the last 2 years to prove that. I'll admit that that site has now tanked due to BH methods and is now a very viable business using PPC alone, but seriously, it was great while it lasted and I'll do it again. But you can't get away from the fact that BH does work.
