Hi guys, these two sites www.fifplay.com and www.fifasoccerblog.com are one of my main competitors, and for some reason they seem to have a lot of authority over me (Guessing because I've only been around for 8 months they've been around for a few years)

I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to analyse their sites/backlinks to see what they are doing to rank to well and highly in particular fifplay. Fifasoccerblog.com seems to rank very high for newly published posts.

If you look at fifplay.com post's they have many stuffed keyword tags and all their posts are 98% less than 100 words, yet they rank high.

fifasoccerblog doesn't have any social bookmarks for users to share their posts.

    thanks

Hard to compare since we don't know your site. But both of these sites have a good deal of relevant content - at least 2-3 on target posts per day. Google loves unique relevant content.

Hmm, would love to post my domain but scared someone might blackhat it and spam it with spammy links

So you feel its justified to post your competitors sites and out them instead and put them at the same risk? Seems legit...

of course age is a factor, but then again...are you snagging 11k comments for each blog post you do?

Seriously! That should not be a major concern, unless somebody on here owns one of the sites you just listed. You ask for advice, but don't want to give us enough information to help you.

A quick search with Open Site Explorer shows:

Fifasoccerblog.com has what appears to be blogroll links from a blog on ea.com's site. So they have multiple backlinks from the creator of the game with the anchor text "FIFA" This is probably a huge factor for that site.

Fifplay.com has a link from dmoz.org, Not sure how much weight that carries but getting a link in that directory is pretty hard these days.
