I just received a check for $1200 from webmasterchecks. Only thing is, I have no idea who they are and what I might be promoting. Believe me, no complaints on my end, but if something I did is starting to pan out, I would really like to scale it up. I'm not promoting any of their affiliate programs or their software and there isn't any memo or aff number on the check. Can anybody lend me a hand on this one?

When I got paid from Cypionate's network, the check came from webmasterchecks, so have you joined his network or maybe any of the other ones from BHW like ProfitROI or Pofecker's?

well, the amont is 1203.96 and you tear it along the perforation, it is watermarked and it doesn't have any disclosures written on it about 'by cashing this check, you agree to etc etc'. it looks legit and it didn't come with anything else in the envelope. it has a reference number. should i call them and ask them to tell what the reference number is referring to and if i am subject to any kind of long term agreement? or does this sound like a real check? I also just checked the security feature on the check...if you hold the watermark between your two fingers it will warm up and disappear and reappear shortly after. this one works.

Is there a bank's name on the check? Call it and ask if it's real. I had a couple situations kind of like Hagiology's. They looked legit to me...

Because there aren't any instructions like "Wire the money here, fool" or something that, I think you probably just have an affiliates check.

You might want to play dumb on the phone with Bank of America though, in case they decide they want to say it was a mistake so you don't cash the check.
