Can proxies cause false 404 returns in Scrapebox?

I have some proxies that work for everything else but when I ask them to show me 404 errors in Scrapebox (for expired blogs) they return 404s where none exist.

Is this a proxy problem or do I have some other problem I don't know about?

I don't mean just a few 404 errors, all of the 404s I checked (atleast 15 or so) went to working blogs.

Is this a timeout issue or what is going on.

Proxies shouldn't have anything to do with the issue. I used to use SB to find expired Tumblrs and you'd have to re-run the expired domain check about 4 times and even then there were still some that were working.

Its not likley the proxies if they work elsewhere, you should use the vanity name checker, its more versatile for finding expired web 2.0, in fact it is 100% of the reason the vanity name checker is built.
