Can Pinterest Generate eCommerce Traffic and Sales Like Twitter & Instagram?

Hello,

I have an eCommerce site that generates sales and traffic from twitter and instagram. I have about 3k followers between those two platforms and thought about expanding into Pinterest and Tumblr because you can search #'s and follow people who may be interested in my product.

Does anyone have experience making sales with Pinterest or Tumblr? How effective is it for generating traffic to your website?

Pinterest is great for traffic for me, I get about 1500-2000 uv from Pinterest every day and I only have a handful of accounts and rarely pin. Converts pretty well.

Still new to pinterest but I see people selling things on esty on their pinterest account.

So ecommerce definitely works if done right.
 
I'd have to say pinterest will definitely exceed your sales so much more. Try it out! But definitely make your graphics/pin more interesting so the female would more likely to click it for sure
 
how many unique views & sales are you making from those 3k followers?
In pinterest these numbers are different ;)
 
Thanks for the advice guys, I am going to post larger photos which was a recommendation from uffda. The longer photos get more space in Pinterest and are easier to click on.

CPA-Marketing, I am receiving about 20-30 visits per day to the website and 1 or sometimes 2 sales per day.

Do you have any information on the Pinterest sales numbers?
 
is this a serious question ? give your head a shake... pinterest has the best consumer base of all social networks
 
In what ways do you guys use Pinterest? Do you join other group boards and post your stuff there or do you just follow people and hope they follow back? Of all social media platforms, Pinterest is the one I hate the most but figured I gotta learn how to use it properly.

How do you see who's the owner of a group board? I've tried contacting several people of different group boards but I never get an answer.

Out of curiousity since i own a 3000 Follower Account Myself and currently develop my upcoming Website, could you post your accounts stats (Pins/Following/Followers)?

Pinterest is a very visual site, perfect for ecommerce and products, if you are trying to generate traffic to your shopping site or affiliate blog. You already have good experience with how to get followers and fans on other sites, so this will serve you well on Pinterest. You just have to replicate your success there.
 
Pinterest is a great marketing tool. You can get tons of traffic to your site using it. I have used it for a while now, just pinning different things and it seems to do quite well for me.
 
It's time for me to get back into the game, I had success with Pinterest, I drove traffic to my AdSense site, now I'm trying to promote my affiliate site. Hope it will convert well.

PS: anyone knows when Pinterest advertising will be available worldwide?

Already its available to worldwide users but they have limited invitation.
