I sold a item on paypal on my old business account for $300 and sent the funds as a gift to my personal account and the funds are now in my bank account. The buyer received the item and told me everything was fine but secretly filed dispute that I just found out about today. I no longer have the money in my old business paypal account and the account number and credit card on file of that business account no longer exist. Will paypal send that account in the negatives or will it go to where my the money was sent(personal account) and try to receive the money ? I know they will connect the dotted lines because both accounts are in my name I just want to know what will happen. Will they put the PP account in the negatives or take it from my bank without knowing. I know this buyer is trying to scam me and Im not putting up with that. I could care less if they business account goes in the negative I will close it after this transaction.. What is the safe way to do this in the future?

From my experience your account will go into the negatives.

if your account is negative after 4 days they try and take it from your bank, and they repeat every 4 days.

I got paypal fucked while away, account went negative....

the account my paypal is linked to is an old one, so had very little money in it. not enough to cover what they wanted

ended up getting £240 of bank charges by the time i got home and got the emails saying they want money -.-

So would they go after the secondary account that the transaction went on or did is it going to follow the money ? If so if I delete my bank account from my paypal(primary) will they be able to do it ?

I got a request from Iqor (PP's devil debt recovery service)..

Never had my bank account charged though for a negative balance (Not even $1,500), you'll just be left with a neg balance and they'll ring you all the time.

I think I am screwed regardless buyers always win in these situation and the guy is saying that the item is not authentic in which it is.. I got the item dropped shipped from UK to the US so I do not know how I can get the item returned to me since they will give him a refund, plus I believe the I will end up getting a empty box or not what I sent the buyer... I checked with my supplier and everything went well on there behalf I have been dealing with the supplier for years. If they accuse me of counterfeit goods will I get sued or thrown in jail I know that is a vague question but I have never had this problem I have had returns but never accusations of counterfeit goods. I am 100% certain my goods are authentic, this scammer just wants a free shoe.

Why don't you call them and explain them the problem and close the dispute ? Show them proof's and screenshots. It's pretty easy to get the work done.

I think if you contacted Pay Pal and talk through the whole thing you could work out where until he sends the item back you will not return funds.

Just talking it out and getting to the bottom of things normally works. You seem like you have something to hide and people often believe that rather than the truth.

I think they made it illegal back in 2003 to just pull funds out of your bank account... there was a lawsuit on it if I remember correctly.

Yeah I am quite sure they can take money straight outta your linked accounts.

PayPal are really shit like that they do not protect the seller only the buyer. Even if you do provide the proof's + screenshots + Receipts + Supplier details, it is a good chance PayPal will still not believe you, but you should still do this and everything you can to fuck that buyer up. I hate PayPal but again they are a neccassary evil in this online world.

I highly doubt that for 200-300$ someone will bother to sue a person who isn't even on the same continent :)
About the dispute. If you have screenshots of your conversation and ask your supplier to "testify" in your favor and prove that you(they) sent an authentic item, PayPal will definitely rule in your favor.

No paypal cannot take your money without permission, but when you linked your bank account you gave them permission to debit your account.

    Cheers!

I think they just call you, I don't think they will take money straight from your bank account but they will call your house endless to try to resolve the issue.
