Hi,

Same as topic, I have really big problem I have a site that ranks 2 on yahoo and bing but on serpbook it doesnt even show's on google in top 300.. its wierd because I always thought it takes longer to rank in yahoo and bing.. sure site is fresh about month old and only 12 backlinks ( more coming from good gsa campaign ) so I thought I'd ask - can it be because I don't have the site in google webmaster tools? Site and every page of it is indexed it is micro niche site.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Second question - I have 2 sites in same niche ranking for same keyword - 1 site that is older is ranking in top 5 , but site 2 (where I point all high pr links and that stuff) that links to site 1 isn't ranking on google, but only on yahoo on bing, site 2 is also indexed so:

1) does site 2 act's as a buffer therefore not ranking?
2) can it be because I don't have it in webmaster tools?
3) whats wrong?

It's nothing to do with google webmaster tools - the answer is time. If your site is new, Google will sandbox it for the first month or so (this is normal). After this time it will dance up and down the serps until it settles on a place.

Question: around October I purchased a domain, slapped Wordpress on it and started writing a few pages, but something else came up and I haven't touched it since. Is it now "too late" (you know what I mean) to finish with the content and start doing SEO? Does age and freshness during the first months even matter?

Ok and what about my second question?

More complicated since there are more moving parts. The simplest reason - it could be time too (give it 3 months for rankings to stabilise).

Other than that it could be any number of reasons: your onpage SEO might be better on site 1, or your backlinks on site 2 might not be as good as you hoped, or your anchor text percentages might be sketchy, or Google might see the content as too similar... the list is long.

Whiskee - it doesn't make much difference. Continue working on it. If anything, it looks more natural than a ton of links appearing the day a site goes live.

I don't understand the second question so I'm gonna answer the first one. Google webmaster tools doesn't affect your site's rankings, so it's not because it hasn't been added to your webmaster tools account. Also, it takes longer to rank in Google.

Google Webmaster Tools can help you rank faster though if your site is white hat. You get to index stuff instantly, etc.

Regarding my second question:

I have site A and B they are both same niche trying to rank for the same keyword!

Site A is older and rank on page 1 - no high pr/pbns build to it
Site B is younger and has only one link to page A
Site B has a lot of high pr links , pbn's posts, really good looking anchor profile , unique hand written by me content - ranks only on yahoo and bing none on google and that's it for 3 months already!

So please tell me why site B is not ranking on google? It has more content than site A, a lot good links for reputable bhw martketplace and nothing.. Can it be because it links to site A with one link so it act's as a buffer in eye's of google?

I really d like some help on this matter because it concerns me and I did everything I could

Thanks!

What he's asking is whether or not the reason his second site isn't ranking even though it's older and all the high metric links are pointed to that one, is if it's because it's being used as a buffer for his first site.

1) & 3) Your site is most likely being penalised because of "all high pr links and that stuff"
2) No, it cannot be

I know of a few instances where both money sites and buffers rank, thus I do not think that's the reason.

I just checked on this site https://ismywebsitepenalized.com and none of my sites is penalized so that can't be the case

I've only added a couple of sites to Webmaster Tools and have no problems ranking websites. You do not need to register your website to rank well.

Please note the results of this tool are conservative and a tested site will not usually appear as penalized in case of unfavorable algorithmic assessments that may have been applied to it.

I highly doubt that such tool exists that can show whether or not your domain is affected by algorithm penalty.

If I would be penalized I would get deindexed right? My site is indexed and everything is good.

Well last thing I could do is add site B to webmaster tools and IF I got penalized It would tell me - right?

You can get algorithm penalty and still stay indexed. Getting deindexed is different thing and easy to notice.
WMT tells if you have received manual penalty, it doesn't tell you if you have hit by Panda or Penguin.

So how do I check if I really got that penalty??

The only way I know is to cross map panda&penguin release dates to your traffic data, but most likely someone else here has better ways to find out penalties.

I've created this site after the update I mean I bought domain before October update but I started link building in december-january
