Can my site get penalized for overuse of images with the same keyword tags?

    For example, let's say I had a website for an eBook - we'll just call it an SEO ebook and the keyword I'm targeting is "SEO ebook." Say I created an image of all the features that was included in the ebook. Something like this:

    Then let's say I broke down that image into 6 separate images and put them all right next to each other so that it looks exactly like the original whole image. Each red box represents a separate image:

    And then for each of those images, I name it "SEO Ebook 1," "SEO Ebook 2," etc. - and give them all the alt tag "SEO Ebook" the title "SEO Ebook."

    Is this a good idea? Is it considered black hat at all or risky in any way? Do you think it will be effective? Would it work, but I would just have to spread the images out between text to make it more realistic?

    Here is my suggestion, label them as such...

    - Learn how to optimize for conversion with this SEO Guide.

    - This SEO EBook will show you how to set up unlimited color schemes.

    etc.

    Not a great idea in my opinion, especially if you don't have a lot of text on your page. Do what netmatrix suggested.
